BLOGGER

• Blogger was the most important piece of software used during the production. It was the website that we uploaded every piece of work to.

• Every member of the production team had to create their own blog and upload their work to that as well as our group blog.

• We chose this website as it was easy to customise and upload work to.

MICROSOFT WORD• We used Microsoft Word for many documents such as the Treatment

sheet, genre research, target audience etc…

• We used this software in our pre production and post production.

• We were able to use Microsoft word on all of the computers we used which meant we could type up our pieces of work and then upload it to scribd and post it to our blog.

SCRIBD

• Scribd was used to convert word documents into html codes that could be uploaded to websites such as blogger.

• We used this for all of our Microsoft word documents so that they could be put onto blogger.

BUBBL.US• This website allowed us to create brainstorms for our ideas.

• We were able to create something new and interesting by using this website instead of always using word documents.

• We were able to save the brainstorms as JPEG images and upload them to blogger.

POWTOON

• We used PowToon as an alternative to PowerPoint presentations. This kept the blog interesting as it had a variety of different embedded software.

• PowToon was used for the production brief and narrative structure.

GMAIL

• We all used Gmail to communicate and to send files such as photos and documents back and forth in order to get feedback from one another.

• We created an email account for our production company and this meant that we automatically had a gmail and blogger account.

SOCIAL MEDIA

• We created three social media accounts for our production company: Instagram, Twitter and Facebook.

• These accounts were used for the promotion of our film. We were able to post links to our surveys which meant that it was more likely that more people would see it and complete it.

• These websites have created new features where you are able to ‘boost’ your posts and ‘pin’ your tweets so that more people will see them.

PREZI

• We used Prezi as another alternative to PowerPoint presentations. Again, this gave our blog variety which made it more interesting.

• Prezi was easy to use as we have used it before and we used it for pieces of work such as the Pitch.

FINAL CUT PRO• Final Cut Pro was used to edit the preliminary task and the final

production.

• At the time of editing the preliminary task, we did not have much experience with the software but we quickly got used to it and by the time that we had to edit our final production piece, we could easily use final cut pro.

• Final cut pro was better suited to the job of editing our production piece rather that Windows Movie Maker or Video Editor as it is more advanced and easier to edit cleanly.
