Multi-purpose barge IB-428

BAM International owns several multi-purpose barges, including the IB-428.

This large-size barge can be outfitted with a crawler crane and used as a crane barge. In this

configuration the barge can be used for near shore marine lifting and piling operations.

For piling activities the barge will be provided with additional equipment such as a piling hammer

and piling template.

Further uses of the barge include transport and, when outfitted with an excavator

or crane with clamshell, dredging. The barge has ballast tanks that can be used for trimming.

The IB-428 has no propulsion and requires assistance from a tug to bring it to her location.
