CFAB is committed to equal opportunities for all. Everyone involved with the organisation will commit themselves to the EQUAL OPPORTUNITIES POLICY IN SERVICE DELIVERY and its effective implementation in all aspects of the organisation. The EQUAL OPPORTUNITIES POLICY IN SERVICE DELIVERY is informed by the organisation’s CODE OF CONDUCT, which sets the standards and outlines the obligations for activities of all staff, volunteers, and trustees towards clients and service users. CFAB also operates an EQUAL OPPORTUNITIES POLICY IN EMPLOYMENT, which is part of the EMPLOYEE HANDBOOK. The implementation of the EQUAL OPPORTUNITIES POLICY IN SERVICE DELIVERY is the responsibility of each person acting on behalf of the organisation, be they paid staff, volunteers or committee members. It is particularly the responsibility of those working at management level to set the standard and see that the policy is implemented throughout the work of the organisation and to relate its application to each specific situation. Implementation and delegated responsibilities fall upon the Chief Executive. While CFAB believes that everyone should have equal access to service and that everyone is entitled to equal treatment, it recognises that this is not universally observed and that some individuals and groups suffer discrimination. CFAB is resolutely opposed to all discrimination and its effects. It works to-wards ensuring that there are no discriminatory practices within the organisa-tion. CFAB is committed to working in accordance with the following Acts and Codes:

Disability Discrimination Act 1995

PURPOSEIn all aspects of its service delivery policies and practices, CFAB opposes dis-crimination and is committed to ensuring that no one is denied its services on any grounds mentioned in the section above.

REMEDIESIf an employee or participant of CFAB commits any act of a discriminatory nature, or is found guilty of bullying or harassment, they will be liable for such action as defined in the COMPLAINTS PROCEDURE (for service users and cli-ents).
