What Is Epoxy ?

Epoxy is a two component product consisting of one part epoxy resin and one part polyamine hardener. An epoxy coating cures and does not dry like paint does. It provides a very hard and durable surface that is resistant to staining, abrasion, and chemicals.  The amount of resistance is usually determined by the quality and solids content of the epoxy.

Benefits

Hard Wearing and long lasting

Epoxy coating provide a quick-drying, its tough hard Wearing and long lasting protective coating.

Easy To Apply

Unlike traditional heat cured powder coatings, epoxy coatings are quick and easy to apply.

Water Resistance

Epoxies are typically used on concrete and steel to give resistance to water, alkali and acids. Metal cans and containers are often coated with epoxy to prevent rusting.

Easy To Clean

Page 5: Epoxy Details

Easy water clean-up make them useful for factory cast iron, cast steel and cast aluminum applications, and reduces exposure and flammability issues associated with solvent borne coatings.

Corrosion Protection

Fusion bonded epoxy powder coatings are extensively used for corrosion protection of steel pipes and fittings used in the oil and gas industry,

What is Polyurethane Coating?

Polyurethane (PUR and PU) is a polymer composed of organic units joined by carbamate (urethane) links. While most polyurethanes are thermosetting polymers that do not melt when heated.

The main ingredients to make a polyurethane are di- and triisocyanates and polyols. Other materials are added to aid processing the polymer or to modify the properties of the polymer.

Versatility

Can be applied on many surface materials, including wood, metal and plastic, and virtually any type of flooring surface.

Protection

A primary benefit of using polyurethane coatings is the protection it provides the surface itself. When applied, the coating creates what is essentially an impermeable barrier between the elements and the object it's covering. With its smooth, hard

surface, polyurethane seals out rain, dirt, mud, and other natural surface enemies. It allows provides protection from humidity and oxidation, which can cause corrosion.

Noise Reduction

The added benefit of PU Coating is assisting with noise reduction.

NO Toxic Emission

Since polyurethane doesn't release any gases that may be unsafe, animals or the environment.

Easy To Apply

PU coating is quick and easy to apply.

High Build Epoxy Floor Coating offers an extensive solvent free floor coating, for the application onto concrete or grano surfaces. Roller applied High Build Epoxy Floor Coating provides a glossy, hygienic, easy to clean surface which is resistant to very heavy wear and a wide range of chemicals.

High Build Epoxy Floor Coatings are applied by brush or roller onto a prepped non-porous surface. Porous surfaces should be primed with E-Coat primer. This product offers excellent long-term wear and is available in a range of colors ideal for the use in industrial and commercial flooring areas.

High Gloss Finish Chemical Resistant Good Abrasion Resistance Hard wearing & Durable Seamless Finish Hygienic

Benefits

Various ThicknessHigh Build Epoxy Floor Coating range offers different grades of coating thickness (between 100-500 microns) depending on the durability required.

Anti SlipAnti slip properties can be incorporated into the coating.

High Quality FinishHigh Build Epoxy Floor Coating provides a smooth gloss, high quality, visually pleasing finish.

Solvent FreeHigh Build Epoxy Floor Coating can be used in areas where solvent-based products may taint or give off unacceptable odors.

General MaintenanceHigh Build Epoxy Floor Coating is resistant to the normal range of industrial cleaners. Do not steam clean or subject to temperatures in excess of 113 °F.

Hygienic Coating

Solvent free and water based Epoxy Systems.

We offer a comprehensive range of hygienic resin systems for floor and wall applications, for use in environments that demand safe, durable and easy to clean finishes.

Our solvent free and water based Epoxy resin systems can offer a cost effective and robust solution. They are usually roller applied, and can be combined with various aggregates to impart any level of slip resistance required.

Self smoothing Epoxy systems typically offer a 3mm system, with excellent cleaning characteristics. Coloured flakes can be combined with this system to provide a more decorative floor, with increased slip resistance. Chemical resistant systems are also available for use in environments subject to acid, alkali and general chemical attack.

Benefits

1. Reduce or eliminate harmful bad bacteria that can be the cause of illnesses.

Hygienic coatings provide long term hygienic surface products to a vast range of

Page 13: Epoxy Details

manufacturing industries to protect those around us: staff, customers, visitors, children,

friends and family.

2. Prevention of bad bacteria remains active for the lifetime of the product, effective against

the growth and spread of bad bacteria on a whole range of differing surfaces.

3. Hygienic Coatings are tough and durable

4. Hygienic Coatings can resist cracking and flaking

3. Hygienic Coatings can be applied to form seamless coating membranes making them easy to

clean.

4. Hygienic Coatings show good resistance to repeated cleaning regimes, mild detergents and

cleaning solutions

5. Hygienic Coatings come in matt; mid sheen and gloss finishes

6. Hygienic Coatings are extremely user friendly with comprehensive installation instructions

available

 7. Hygienic Coatings are fast drying and in many instances it is possible to apply 2 coats in 1 day

 8. Hygienic Coatings have good covering and hiding power

9. Hygienic Coatings are water borne and low odour

 10. Hygienic Coatings can be re-inforced with fibre glass systems (Reemat Premium and Reemat

Lite) for added impact resistance

 11. Hygienic Coatings have roller, brush and spray applied systems

 12. Hygienic Coatings are available in a wide range of colours
