My Project name is Usage of Products Price Electronic Indicator/Screen in ShoppingCenter or Market . Actually this projects name is known as Electronic Price Label or Electronic Shelf Label. Electronic shelf label is known in which electronic labels can be
placed on shelves, for example, in grocery stores, to serve as price tags. This system displays price information on a retail shelf through a small screen that is updated via a computer. Theelectronic labels substitute traditional printed paper labels and need not be manually attachedto merchandise. This system including electronic shelf labels, a related method and acomputer program, comprising a power source for giving power to a display for displaying product related information, and at least one memory register for storing a product relatedinformation, memory register and the communication interface being controlled by a control
unit. The information displayed on the labels can be updated from a central unitcommunicating with the labels via wireless communication, such as infrared (IR)communication or radio frequency (RF) communication. Systems of the above kind are oftenreferred to as Electronic Shelf Labelling systems (ESL), but the labels do not necessarily haveto be placed on shelves. Instead, the labels can hang from the ceiling or be displayed in someother way, such as being placed on a needle and attached to specific food product in a counter.

Electronic Shelf / Price Label also known by the acronym ESL, is a system used byretailers for displaying product pricing onshelves. Typically, electronic display modules areattached to the front edge of retail shelving.
I propose the structure of Electronic Shelf/Price Label system and control process inshopping center. Some equipments about ESL system will be used in this study. In additionsome advantages about using ESL system and some ESL distributors in the world will beused.
2.1 LITARETURE REVIEW and BACKGROUND OF STUDY
Elecktronic Price/Shelf Label system relates generally to remote controlled pricedisplay systems in stores.
On the shelves of a site such as a supermarket, hypermarket, or other retail outlet (for example pharmacies, etc.), an essential object of such systems is to present consumers with a price for each article on sale, with that price being known to correspond reliably to the pricethat appear in the central file of the store, i.e. with the actual price that will be charged fort hearticle at the checkout.
Another object of those prior art systems is to enable price changes to be madeautomatically in much shorter times than with a manual display, whether this is for particular promotional periods in the store, for al lor some of the articles, to implement price changes, todeal with inflation when prices have to be increased very frequently, etc.
Moreover, price display is subject to many constraints, in particular legal constraints,as to the nature of the prices displayed ( unit price, promotional price, price in Euros, Dolar,TL, etc.), with which constraints electronic systems must conform in exactly the same way asdisplays on paper.
Accordingly, although electronic label systems are tending to become more and moresophisticated as time goes on, they nevertheless remain relatively rigid in terms of displayfacilities and the organization thereof over time.
This EPL/ESL system aims to alleviate those drawbacks of the prior art and to propesean electronic label system that offers a vast range of display facilities, in particular to meet tothe constraints referred to above and to satisfy an increasing demand from users to modifydisplayed prices often and for short periods, which system can act extremly flexibly and
quickly to display information other than prices, for example information relating to the products and/or to the labels themselves and which also offers the facility of modifying all the3

labels of a given group or all the labels throughout the store in accordance with precise time periods that are accurately specified in terms of when they begin and/or their duration [1].
2.2 RESEARCH QUESTIONS What are the equipment of EPL/ESL system ? What are the advantages of EPL/ESL system ? What are the distributors of EPL/ESL system ?
1. MATERIAL - METHODS

INITIATING TERMINAL
- It is a portable terminal, equipped with a barcode reader which links the label to a productvia its barcode [3] .
Figure 7. A Sample of System SchemaFirst aspect of the ESL/EPL system proposes an electronic label system, in particular for
displaying prices in stores, the sytem comprising a central station and a plurality of distributedelectronic labels, together with communication means, in particular wireless communicationmeans, for sending information, in particular price information, from the central station to the
labels, the system being characterized in that each label includes a set of price registers, a setof coefficient registers and a display including at least two price display areas, and the

The information sent from the central station to a label further includes instructions for copying the content of a price or coefficient register to another price or coefficientregister;
The permutation and copying instructions consist of a single instructions containing acommand code, two register addresses and a parameter indicating permutation or copying.
A second aspect of the EPL/ESL system proposes an electronic label system,in particular for displaying prices in stores, comprising a central station and a plurality of distributedelectronic labels, together with communication means, in particular wireless communicationmeans, for sending information, in particular price information, from the central station to the
labels, the sytem being characterized in that each label includes a memory, a display andmeans for controlling display on the basis of information sent from the central station to alabel is contained in a single message, which message includes instructions containing dataassigning the content of a particular memory area to a particular display area of the displayand is adapted to contain time delay data from which the label determines a timing parameter relating to said assignment.
Preferred but non-limiting features of the above system comprise: The display of each label comprises a plurality of price display areas, the memory of
each label includes a plurality of price memory areas, and said instructions includesinstructions for assigning a particular set of price memory areas to said display areas;
Said timing parameter is a duration for which the assignment must be applied; Said timing parameter is a delayed time form which the assignment must be applied; Each label includes means for verifying the status of a power supply battery of the
label ans said particular memory area contains a battery status indicator; Said particular memory area is an address area of the label;
The system includes means for selectively loading a long address or a short addressinto an address memory of an electronic label;
The long address consists at least in part of the characters of a standardized productcode of a product associated with the label and the short address consist at least in partof a particular portion of the characters of said product code and other characters.
General architecture primarily comprising: A control microcontroller, associated with an operating system contained in a read-
only memory and with appropriate dedicated integrated circuits; A set of memories or registers for variables;

1) Enhanced shelf management and inventory control processes. By leveraging theenterprises existing infrastructure, ESL solutions have the ability to improve order processing and stock tracking. Integration with current POS systems allows the
enterprise to generate automatic inventory reports that can be used to update ESLswith new pricing strategies, out of stock messaging or restock alerts. Employees onthe flor use these messages and alerts to expedite restocking processes and improve productivity.
2) Improved price control and acuracy. ESL solutions can be used to centralize pricingactivity by leveraging an enterprises back-end infrastructure, thus pushing control of prices even further away from manual processes. This provides increased pricing
consistency and improved compliance with price related regulations and standards.3) New marketing and promotion venues. An in-store display is valuable read estate.ESL solutions can be leveraged to not only display additional promotional andmarketing messages on their screens, but also on their packaging/face plates.[5]
4) Accurate pricing. Pricing information is broadcast constantly, immune to interferenceand difficult to intercept, so the solution operates at 99.99% communicationeffectiveness. It also has extra protection built into the labels, so the price displayed isguaranteed to be the price caharged at the checkout, removing the risk of prosecution
for incorrect pricing.5) Reduced labour cost. By removing the need top rint, sort and replace paper labels
when price change, stores can realise significant labour savings and reduce the cost of sale.
6) Instant price flexing. Targeted price promotions can be conducted almost instantly,with minimal effort and cost, throughout the day to reflect different tradingenvironments and the needs of individual stores.
7) Longer label life. Labels are robust,resilient and firmly fixed to the shelving, makingthem much less prone to damage than current pricing mechanisms-even when hit witha loaded shopping trolley. They are also designded for use existing C-Channel shelf stripping and their longlife batteries last about 10 years regardless of usage muchlonger than other systems [6].
