The EMEA SABRE awards recognise agencies at the forefront of strategic communications practices and are among the most sought-after awards in the PR field, attracting more than 2 000 entries from more than 20 countries throughout Europe, the Middle East and Africa. 2014 2014 International Business Award (Stevie Awards): DHL - Delivering Business Success in Africa PR campaign Epic conceptualised and executed an integrated campaign that assisted DHL Express drive business success and growth on the African continent. The multifaceted campaign consisted of PR stunts, traditional media relations, thought leadership editorials and digital platforms, and as a result of the campaign and the increased demand for services, DHL extended their retail footprint by over 900 outlets during the campaign. This fully integrated campaign was conceptualised by Epic to raise awareness for the Sanlam / Business Partners Entrepreneur of the Year competition, strengthen the association between Sanlam and entrepreneurship amongst key target audiences, as well as increase business leads for Business Partners. The campaign resulted in Business Partners’ business leads spiking an estimated 8%; improving Sanlam’s association with entrepreneurial financial services; 342 on-message editorials worth over R12m; a 246% increase in competition entries; and Twitter and Facebook community growth of 66% and 149% respectively.
