Walk Circumspectly
(Eph 5:1) Be ye therefore followers of God, as dear
children;
(1Pe 2:21) For even hereunto were ye called: because Christ also suffered for us, leaving
us an example, that ye should follow his steps:
Walk In Love (Eph 5:2) And walk
in love, as Christ also hath loved us,
and hath given himself for us an
offering and a sacrifice to God for
a sweetsmelling savour.
Walk In Light
(Eph 5:8) For ye were sometimes
darkness, but now are ye light in the
Lord: walk as children of light:

I. The Precepts of walking Circumspectly
(Eph 5:15-17) See then that ye walk circumspectly, not as fools, but as
wise, Redeeming the time, because the days are evil. Wherefore be ye not
unwise, but understanding what the will of the Lord is.
A. The CLARITY of a
fool.
(Pro 10:8) The wise in heart will receive commandments: but a
prating fool shall fall.
(Pro 12:15) The way of a fool is right in his own eyes: but he that hearkeneth unto counsel is wise.
(Pro 15:5) A fool despiseth his father's instruction: but he that regardeth reproof is prudent.

B. The CRAVING for
wisdom
(Pro 2:1-6) My son, if thou wilt receive my words, and hide my
commandments with thee; So that thou incline thine ear unto wisdom,
and apply thine heart to understanding; Yea, if thou criest after knowledge, and liftest up thy voice for understanding; If thou
seekest her as silver, and searchest for her as for hid treasures; Then shalt thou
understand the fear of the LORD, and find the knowledge of God.
For the LORD giveth wisdom: out of his mouth cometh knowledge and
understanding.
Wisdom Is to have the mind of God, and comes from God, no amount of
studying alone will obtain it
(1Co 2:1-7) And I, brethren, when I came to you, came not with excellency of speech or of wisdom, declaring unto you the testimony of God. For I determined not to know any thing
among you, save Jesus Christ, and him crucified. And I was with you in weakness,
and in fear, and in much trembling. And my speech and my preaching was not with enticing words of man's wisdom, but in
demonstration of the Spirit and of power: That your faith should not stand in the
wisdom of men, but in the power of God. Howbeit we speak wisdom among them that are perfect: yet not the wisdom of this world, nor of the princes of this world, that come to
nought: But we speak the wisdom of God in a mystery, even the hidden wisdom, which God
ordained before the world unto our glory:
(Jas 1:5-8) If any of you lack wisdom, let him ask of God, that
giveth to all men liberally, and upbraideth not; and it shall be given him. But let him ask in
faith, nothing wavering. For he that wavereth is like a wave of the
sea driven with the wind and tossed. For let not that man think that he shall receive any thing of
the Lord. A double minded man is unstable in all his ways.
