BREEDING CONTRACT FOR LIVE COVER
The following agreement is made between Steve and/or Sarah Dickmeyer, hereaftercalled the Stallion Owner, and who residesat , hereafter called the Mare Owner.
The Stallion Owner does hereby agree to breed the purebred Section A Welsh MountainPony stallion, *WHARLEY MAGIC FLUTE, WPCSA #A-40793, hereafter called the Stallion,to the purebred mare _hereafter called the Mare, Registration number Age Color _Sire name and registration number --------------------Dam name and registration number _for and in consideration of, the mutual covenants described below.
1. The stud fee (Live Cover) shall be $500.00. A non-refundable booking fee of$50.00 is due when the Mare Owner returns this contract. One half of the stud fee($250.00) is due when the Mare arrives. Full payment of the remaining stud feeminus the booking fee ($200.00), all mare care and/or veterinary or farrier costsare due when the Mare leaves Eos Welsh Mountain Ponies, Stallion Owner'sfarm, hereafter called the Farm.
2. Live Foal Guarantee: If the mare fails to conceive or the resulting foal isstillborn or dies before standing & nursing, the same or another mare of the MareOwner's choice may be bred the following year for mare care andveterinary/farrier or AI costs only. This guarantee will apply only if notificationof the foal's death plus the breeding certificate issued by the Stallion Owner issent to the Stallion Owner by registered mail within 48 hours of the foal's death.Statements by a licensed veterinarian of the details of the foal's death must followwithin 10 days or the Live Foal Guarantee becomes null and void.
3. The Mare Owner will be issued a valid breeding certificate for the WPCSA by theStallion Owner when the mare is checked in foal, all paperwork has beenreturned, and all fees and/or expenses have been paid. A replacement fee of$25.00 will be charged if the Mare Owner loses a breeding certificate.
4. The Mare shall be in healthy and sound breeding condition upon arrival at theFarm.
5. The Mare must have had a Rhinopneumonitis vaccination within the past 6months.
6. Upon arrival at the Farm the Mare will be de-wormed with Ivennectin at theStallion Owner's expense. All subsequent de-worming will be at the MareOwner' sexpense and will occur not more frequently than every <eightweeks.
7. All veterinary or farrier expenses incurred on behalf ofthe Mare and/or her foal atside while at the Farm are the responsibility of the Mare Owner.
8. Mare board/care will accrue at the following daily rate:
Ponies 12.2 hands/underOver 12.2 hands
$4.00 dry--$5.50 with foal at side$5.00 dry--$6.50 with foal at side
The Mare may stay at the Farm until checked in foal or may return home afterbreeding, at Mare Owner's discretion.
9. By signing below, I certify that I understand the covenants as listed above andauthorize Sarah or Steve Dickmeyer, Eos Welsh Mountains Ponies or its agents to
