The Government of United Republic of Tanzania has received financing from the African Development Fund

toward the cost of the Creation of a Centre of Excellence (CoE) in Cardiovascular Sciences in

Tanzania, and intends to apply part of the agreed amount for this loan to payments under the contract for

Consultancy Services for Design and Supervision of Construction for the Cardiovascular Institute

at Muhimbili University of Health and Allied Sciences (MUHAS) Mloganzila Campus.

The services included under this project entail the preparation of the detailed architectural, structural and

other related engineering drawings for the administrative building. The consultancy will also cover pre and

post works construction contract services including participation in the process of recruiting a contractor

and the supervision of the construction of works.

Muhimbili University of Health and Allied Sciences (MUHAS) now invite eligible consultants to indicate their

interest in providing these services. Interested consultants must provide information indicating that they are

qualified to perform the services (brochures, description of similar assignments, experience in similar

conditions, availability of appropriate skills among staff, etc.). Consultants may constitute joint-ventures to

enhance their chances of qualification.

Eligibility criteria, establishment of the short-list and the selection procedure shall be in accordance with the

African Development Banks Rules and Procedures for the use of Consultants dated May 2008 revised

July 2012, which is available on the Banks website at http://www.afdb.org.

1500, Monday to Friday except public holidays.

Expressions of interest must be delivered to the address below by Wednesday 19th August 2015 at 1400

hours local time and mention EoI for Consultancy Services for Design and Supervision of

Construction for the Cardiovascular Institute.
