    1.0 SCOPE

    This procedure sets out the Environmental Responsibilities for all the

    organisations staff in relation to the Environmental Management System.

    (EMS)

    2.0 RESPONSIBILITIES

    The Chief Executive & Directors Team are responsible for the allocation of

    responsibilities throughout the organisation.

    4.0 PROCEDURE

    4.1 CHIEF EXECUTIVE & DIRECTORS TEAM

    Determine and publish the organisations Environmental Policy

    Set and Review Environmental Objectives and Targets

    Implement and maintain the organisations EMS

    Continuous improvement of the organisations Environmental performance

    Promote the organisations Environmental strategies

    Invest in sustainable services and products where appropriate

    Promote sustainable practices at all opportunities

    Ensure staff have adequate Environmental training and awareness

    Available to respond to interested parties Environmental concerns

    Chief Executive represents the EMS on the Senior Management Team

    4.2 HEAD HR & FACILITIES MANAGEMENT /

    FACILITIES MANAGEMENT TEAM LEADER

    Group head represents the EMS on the Senior Management Team.

    Group Head & Team Leader are responsible for ensuring resources are made

    available across the organisation to ensure the efficient operation of the EMS.

    4.3 REGIONAL MANAGERS AND GROUP HEADS

    Overall responsibility for the EMS in their relevant Regions and Groups, with

    the authority to provide sufficient financial and staff resources, at local level, to

    ensure the efficient operation of the EMS.

    4.4 PROCUREMENT TEAM

    Responsible for ensuring the organisation follows the guidelines set out in the

    Procurement Framework and integrating Sustainability issues into the

    procurement process.

    4.5 ENVIRONMENTAL SYSTEMS MANAGER

    Responsible for administering the system on a day-to-day basis including:

    The authority to ensure the Environmental Policy is implemented

    throughout the organisation

    The authority to ensure the EMS is established, implemented and

    maintained in accordance with Green Dragon & ISO14001 Environmental

    Standard requirements

    Reporting on the performance of the EMS to top management for review

    and to provide a basis for continual improvement of the system Raising Staff Awareness of the EMS

    Produce an annual environmental report to meet the requirements of Level 5

    clause F of the Green Dragon environmental standard 2006

    Other duties as defined elsewhere in this and related documentation.

    4.6 LOCAL GREENING GROUPS

    The group members are responsible for assisting in the implementation of the

    EMS, providing a link to the staff in their offices, and for carrying out reviews

    and audits.

    Groups to meet a minimum of twice/year, minutes of the meetings are to be

    produced and recorded.

    4.7 SENIOR RESERVE MANAGERS

    Responsible for ensuring the EMS procedures are implemented and the systems

    are maintained on the National Nature Reserves, with the authority to provide

    adequate resources and training.

    4.8 TEAM LEADERS

    Responsible for the EMS in their respective areas of responsibility, including

    providing adequate resources for implementing and maintaining the system on a

    day-to-day basis.

    4.9 ALL CCW STAFF

    Reduce water consumption

    Report Environmental Incidents

    Reduce paper & photocopy usage

    Minimise waste - Recycle whenever practicable

    Reduce energy use - Turn lights & equipment off when not in use

    Reduce Car Mileage - Use video conferencing facilities wherever

    practicable

    Assisting with the achievement of Environmental Objectives and Targets
