In pursuance of the above, E&M Construction undertake to:

Raise the level of awareness amongst all employees and contractors with regard to the requirements for health and safety, the need to conserve and protect the environment by publishing objectives and targets and providing appropriate training.

Comply with all applicable Safety, Health, Environment, Quality and other legislation and corporate requirements.

Implement and maintain a Safety, Health, Environment and Quality programme that complies with appropriate international standards, and regularly evaluate the effectiveness of the system by conducting audits and reviews.

Obtain commitment to this policy through consultation, communication and the provision of adequate resources.

Continually strive to minimize and prevent pollution.

Minimize the visual aspects of our operations.

Optimise the utilisation of raw materials and energy sources.

Eliminate, reduce and recycle waste, where possible, and rehabilitate waste disposal sites to minimise the risks and impacts on our employees and the community in which we operate.

Support research into adverse effects that our products and processes may have on the health and safety of people and the environment.

Continually strive to improve upon our performance.

1. Introduction

E&M Construction aim to support and protect the environment in which we operate. Striving to

cause as little damage to the environment as possible.

Where applicable, international environmental performance guidelines are applied throughout

the company, always striving to show continuous improvement.

The Environmental Management Plan (EMP) addresses the management of the significant

environmental impacts related to the processes on site.

2. Objectives of the EMP

This document provides information on the mitigation measures designed to minimize or

eliminate the significant adverse impacts that may be caused as a result of all of the sites

processes. The significant impacts are attached in Addendum 1.

The significant impacts are defined as any aspect that has a risk rating of 30 or over on the

CURA system.

The primary objectives of the EMP is to:

describe actions taken for achieving the mitigation measures,

indicate responsibilities and target dates regarding the implementation or management

of these action plans,

Highlight procedures for environmental control, in the event of an incident.
