The growing efforts focused on the alleviation of adverseanthropogenic impact on the environment are significant. In thiscontext, great attention is drawn on the use of fossil fuels, which isone of the major drivers of the climate change. “Renewable Chargefor Entrepreneurship” project pursues to encourage activeparticipation of youth groups from small communities and ruralregions in processes of energy transition and environmentalsustainability through social entrepreneurship in the field ofrenewable energies and rural development.The project attempts to promote EU policies and objectives in thefield of renewable energies among youth, simultaneously enablingdevelopment of rural communities. To this end, the project aims toequip young people with knowledge and skills required to stimulatetheir involvement in field-related activities and to launch their owninitiatives. Social entrepreneurship is considered as a powerfulmedium for realisation of this goal.Consequently, the project was designed to deliver fundamentalcapacities for two pivotal components, namely renewable energyand entrepreneurship. Furthermore, a comprehensive introductionon social entrepreneurship is considered, which will later allowyoung individuals to outline and implement own projects in nativecommunities.

The main objectives of the project are as follows:- Raise of participants awareness about field of renewableenergies and their main characteristics;- Encourage adoption of renewables through formulation andinterpretation of environmental and socioeconomic benefits oftheir introduction in communities;- Provision of essential competences for step-by-stepimplementation of a small scale entrepreneurial initiative;- Facilitate development of successful renewable energy projectswith a focus on community needs by revealing existingopportunities & challenges and demonstrating relevant casestudies;- Presentation of Erasmus+ Programme and importance of nonformal learning projects. Introduction to various Europeaninstruments, funds and EU programmes regarding renewableenergies, rural development and entrepreneurship;- Establishment of a favourable ground for peer learning andactive intercultural exchange among project participants.

Each partner country should be represented by 4 participants and 1 group leader. There is no agelimit for the group leaders.

PARTICIPANTS PROFILEOur target audience is young people aged from 18to 30 with a focus on 18-25 age group:a) Who are facing social, economic andgeographical obstacles (at least 2 participants pergroup);b) Who are interested in the topics of renewableenergy, social entrepreneurship, climate changeand  environment  intercultural learning, ruralyouth empowerment;c) Who show a big motivation for participation andare available for the whole duration of the YouthExchange;d) Who are residents of one of the participatingcountries: Armenia, Georgia, Ukraine, Moldova,Germany, Romania, Lithuania, Spain  and comefrom rural/remote areas.e) Who can communicate in English.

Participants will be accommodated in triple rooms. Theywill be provided with 3 time buffet food and 2 coffee breaksper day. The hotel provides bedsheets and towels as well.Hair dryers are available in some rooms only. We stronglyask group leaders to inform host organization aboutparticipants' special needs, such as allergy, special diet,food, etc. A separate menu will be prepared forvegetarians.

The maximum travel reimbursement perperson is as follows:

Project participation fee is 30 Euro (to be paid at the youthexchange in cash).

Travel expenses will be reimbursed in Euro by November 2020 the latest and uponpresentation of all necessary documents (see the next sections). All thereimbursements will be made through BANK TRANSFERS only. All tickets' costs purchased in a local currency will be converted and calculatedaccording to the exchange rate of the month given by the European Commission (https://goo.gl/HinFm6) .

The Youth Exchange will be implemented in the frames of the ERASMUS+ Programme.Accommodation, food, working materials & other project related expenses for theentire duration of the Youth Exchange will be fully covered by organizers. The travel costs will be reimbursed for the cheapest and direct way of transport andonly under the condition that the participant will take part in the whole project. Thetravel costs will be reimbursed up to the certain amount according to Erasmus+ rules.Only the tickets that were confirmed by organizers will be reimbursed. Because of the low developed transport  infrastructure  and participantsarrivals/departures at night/early in the morning, participants' travel from arrivalplaces to the project venue on 26 May, as well as their departure from the venue on06 June will be organized by the host organization. The cost of those trips (30 EUR)will be deducted from the reimbursement amount . In case you prefer not to use thisservice, please inform the host organization well in advance.

FURTHER RULESBOOKING OF THE TICKETS AND REIMBURSEMENT

The selected participants choose flight connections and send them tohosting organization or via thepartners for confirmation. Please don’tbook any tickets without ourconfirmation.Only the cheapest tickets will be reimbursed. The tickets with deviationfrom the direct route, extraunnecessary stops and layovers will notbe covered. Seat reservation fees,leisure plus tickets, flexible tarifftickets, extra travel insurances,priority boarding fees will not becovered. Only 1 piece of checked-inbaggage of maximum 15-23 kg will becovered.Only tickets purchased online will bereimbursed. The travel agencies’ feescan't be covered and their invoices forthe flight tickets won’t be accepted forreimbursement .

Expenses for taxi or private cars,

You can arrive 1 day before the activity and depart 1 day after, or take 2 daysbefore or after the project dates, if youwant to spend more time in Armenia onyour own, provided that the tickets onthese days are not more expensive thanon the official travel days.Eurowings, Ryanair , Wizzair ticketsshould be purchased only on thewebsites of the airlines.KEEP your flight tickets, boardingpasses and invoices, and provide themat the youth exchange. Online Check-in(per email in PDF) is highly recommended, then you will not losethe boarding passes.

Regarding way-backtickets and boarding passes, they should be sentby post office.

THINGS TO BRING

Preparing and running a session on the current state anddevelopments related to renewable enegries in theircountries, level of introduction of renewable technologies inrural areas;Preparing a cultural evening, where culture, music, food,traditions and country peculiarities will be presented;Presenting their organization/non-formal group;Preparing and running energizers, team building activities,name games and etc.

The project is based on non-formal methodology and peer-to-peer approach, which highly prioritize each participants' activeinvolvement in every stage of the project. This means that theentire learning component is based on the sessions andactivities prepared by participants for participants.Thus, all national teams will be in charge of:

METHODOLOGYThe whole youth exchange will be based on non-formaleducation methods. Different methods, such as outdooreducation, hiking trips, business simulation activities, cooperative games, individual work, small discussion groups,plenary work, group dynamics and etc. will be used.
