What is ECAP?

The Enterprise Content Alignment Program (ECAP) is a multiphase, cross-departmental effort to consolidate the technology, people and processes used to manage and deliver content in order to address the following High Level Program Goals:  Increase accuracy and consistency of information in support of the ERCOT Market

Improve rate of change affecting multiple systems

Clearly define roles, communication and content management processes

Maximize resources and improve cross-departmental collaboration

Improve ability to locate information

Provide consistent branding and user experiences for all stakeholders

External Public content is comprised of the systems, processes and technologies that manage, store and publish content to unauthenticated users in open, unprotected communication channels. ERCOT.com is required by Protocol 12.4 and much of its content is driven by required protocols or binding documents.

• Provide ‘Secure’ and ‘Certified’ reports to registered Market Participants in order to facilitate the management of all activities associated with ERCOT markets, grid operations and reliability

• Accurately inform stakeholders about the current state of the ERCOT grid and market

• Minimize friction of locating information via consistent user experience and search

• Support Board, Committee, Sub-Committee, Working Group and Task Force activities

• Provide access to public reports as defined by ERCOT Protocols

• Accurately inform stakeholders about current state of the ERCOT grid and market to ERCOT employees and visitors (TiE Displays)

• Display tools and information based on employee department and usage history

• Minimize friction of locating information via consistent user experience and search

Internal ERCOT is comprised of systems, processes and technologies that manage, store and publish content to ERCOT employees who are logged into the ERCOT network. The Intranet is a curated communication channel that presents ERCOT Employees with information they need to know, when they need to know it and has the ability to actively push content to users.
