As you can see on the screen this is a picture of my cute little puppy Ozzy and also on the side there is a picture of FOSCAM which is a live camera that can be accessed over the internet. So one day I bought this live camera and wanted to install it to view my pup anytime anywhere. And thats when I opened the manual, to be frank I couldnt understand much, it was a bit complicated for me because in my generation who uses manuals ? So to get some just in time help I rather chose to open YouTube and searched for a video that would show me how to install this camera. I found a video with proper instructions that helped me to install this camera easier and faster than I had thought.

This is when I realized that how I learn has changed in the era of digital transformation.

In 1675, when machine looms began to replace handloom weaving, a three-day riot broke out in England, during which groups of weavers destroyed the machines that had begun to replace their jobs. While these machines presented inestimable advantages for performance and efficiency, the people who lived at that time had either to adapt to this change or risk being left jobless.As history illustrates, technological progress will prevail. Therefore, rather than resisting the digital transformation, people and organizations must prepare immediately and strategically for a skillset that will perpetually change and evolve.

BLENDED LEARNING: In blended learning students receive a combination of face-to-face and digital learning. Blended learning allows each student toreceive a personalized experience rather a one-size-fits-all system. It gives students the freedom to learn in their own way and at their own pace. It also enables educators to understand in real time what a students needs.

GAMIFICATION:Humans have always played games. For many thousands of years, games of various forms have been used to socialise and to hone essential survival skills through practice and competition. This playfulness in humans has not changed, although the technology has, and todays gaming industry is incredibly profitable, in the order of $60 billion per year. With the rise of the internet, the social aspects of gaming have been greatly enhanced, and gaming is more accessible than before.Traditionally games have been seen as a purely social pastime, and kept outside of the corporate world. In more recent years, businesses have started to explore the use of games in the working world. The same motivation and commitment shown in games can be applied to real-world problems, with some startling results. Gaming, and the concept of gamification, are starting to be recognised as very effective tools for organizations to teach, persuade and motivate people.

Gamification refers to the application of gaming principles to non-game scenarios. By introducing game mechanics, such as points, rewards and status, gamification is an important tool for influencing and motivating groups of people. This can be applied to employees and customers alike, improving customer and employee engagement, increasing customer loyalty, and incentivizing employees to perform at high levels. Many organisations have started to adopt the 70:20:10 model for learning. This model describes that 10% of our learning happens through formal learning, 20% through social learning, and 70% through experience. Given this shift away from formal (traditional) learning towards more social and experiential learning, gamification is fast becoming a popular tool to enhance learning within an organization.

PERSONALIZED LEARNING:Another interesting trend in the learning industry is the idea of personalized learning. Personalized learning consists of allowing the learner to make their own decisions and choices about what they learn and the method in which they learn it, allowing them to tailor the learning to suit their own style and pace. This form of learning also allows the user to pull the information they need to them, opposed to having information pushed towards them.

AUGMENTED LEARNING:The final developing trend is the use of augmented learning. This is the introduction of virtual reality to create a learning environment for people to learn wherever they are at any given time. This method includes both the advantages of entertainment like gamification and mobile learning,similar to mobile learning apps. Because of these advantages, augmented learning is a growth area in the e-learning market with massive appeal for learning professionals. This method could also become one of the most effective forms of learning, as it can replicate situations employees may encounter when at work or distributors pitching a new product to a consumer.5

Business agilityrefers to distinct qualities that allow organisations to respond rapidly to changes in the internal and external environment without losing momentum or vision. Adaptability, flexibility and balance are three qualities essential to long-term business agility. Agility is not simply a state of mind; it is a way of working.

Enabling Business AgilityA successful organization is one that can move fast to stay ahead of the competition. Transformation and innovation have never been easier or faster, thanks to the availability of simplified systems and technology internet based business applications. But deployment of any new system needs successful user adoption before the business sees any benefits. Historically, here is our challenge: the process of ensuring user adoption of innovative new solutions via traditional enablement methodologies has dramatically slowed the time to value.7

Technical agility is the ability to quickly and smoothly adapt to or integrate current technologies with newer, different, disruptive, expansive or convergent technologies.The faster that technology comes out, the faster you need to figure out how to bring it into the business and make use of it to get a return from the technology. Companies [that can] acquire that technology in a fashion that matches to their business strategy and their IT strategy and [who can develop] a plan for the eventual movement off of that technology will become more agile in the ability to change their business and adapt to changes in the market.

An agile organization has a culture where learning is aneveryday element of business. Learningisnt just something you do to your users as part of the rollout of a newsystem. By building an infrastructure to support a learning culture, you lowerthe barriers to learning, and create an environment where users can draw downthe required learning material at the point of need. This pull approach tolearning then frees up resources to drive continued innovation. In this type ofculture, the users become very adaptable, allowing the agile business toflourish.
