FORT CHURCHILLSOLAR PROJECT
MORE ENERGY. FOR LIFE.™
The Fort Churchill Solar Project is a planned 19.9 megawatt photovoltaic solar power plant scheduled to begin construction in mid-2014 pending regulatory and county approvals. Situated on vacant industrial land owned by NV Energy in Lyon County, Nevada, the Fort Churchill Solar Project will deliver enough electricity to power the equivalent of 12,000 Nevada homes when the project is operational.1 Along the way, the project will create approximately 100 new jobs.
SunPower Corporation is the developer of the project as well as the engineering, procurement and construction contractor. With experience in operating more than 1,000 megawatts of solar power plants worldwide, SunPower brings demonstrated solar expertise to the region. The project will be built with SunPower® C7 Tracker advanced concentrating photovoltaic technology and will operate emissions-free for 25 years.
