On Tuesday, the Chief Executive Officer of the Enquire Learning Trust, Mr Holmes, paid us a visit. As we walked around school and visited classrooms, we were both delighted at how quickly children have settled back into their learning. Children were engaged and enthused and keen to talk to us about their new topics. Our brand new curriculum is already having a positive impact upon learning and were only two weeks into the term! We both agreed that Roseberry is the best it s ever been! Mrs Channing Year Two and their special visitors! Last week, as part of their Wriggle and Crawl topic, Year Two made some very special visitors feel welcome. William the snake and his friends the tarantula and scorpion had a lovely time at Roseberry and the children learned lots of new facts! East Barnby Our Year Six children have had an amazing time learning new skills and facing their fears this week during their residential visit to East Barnby. Thank you to Mrs Murton, Mr Moore, Mrs Davies and Mr Murton for taking time away from their own families to be with our Roseberry family day and night for a week! I am sure that many lovely memories have been made! Congratulations to our youngest children who were very brave on Monday morning when it was too wet to play outside upon arrival at school. When the weather is poor, or the playground is covered with ice, we come into the lower hall to play with Lego, draw and chat. Sometimes, we even have a singalong! Adults are welcome to leave their children with the member of staff on duty from 8.45am, but may stay until 8.55am if they prefer. Our teams have new captains! Children have voted for the captains of their teams. Captains will retain their title throughout the academic year and encourage the children in their teams to earn team points by trying hard, behaving well, being kind to others and using their manners. Endeavour (Blue) Fletcher and Poppy Adventure (Green) Grace and Nathan Resolution (Red) Anna and Lucas Discovery (Yellow) Olivia and Ben Brilliant Boggarts! Year One had great fun making Boggarts in the wildlife area on Wednesday. There was much excitement as they ran around trying to find them all, hiding amongst the trees! New equipment! We would like to express HUGE thanks to the Enquire Learning Trust for arranging to update all of our ICT equipment. Our ICT leader, Mrs Charlton, is busy working with technicians to set up our brand new resources! We now have a Trust-wide Code of Conduct for Parents and Carers. Your personal copy should have come home today!
