Our Vision, Mission And Strategy At Fort Caroline Baptist Church
Dear Friend,
I thought I would
take a second to
share with you how
your 2014 giving
made an impact
beyond just giving
you an opportunity
to record it for your taxes. If you
haven’t noticed, God’s done some
amazing things. Here are some of the
highlights of those things:
Our Sunday morning attendance
was healthy at an average of 553.
We have room to grow and want
to increase in 2015. We are seeing
a good number of first-time
guests! Thanks for inviting them!
Our LifeGroup participation for
the year was greater than it’s ever
been! We averaged 664 each
week! In addition to an average
record attendance for the year, we
broke a one-day attendance record
on Easter with 803 people in
groups! Thanks to your
generosity, curriculum was
provided for each group in all age
divisions. We are forming new
groups as often as possible so
people can experience Christian
community.
During 2014, we completed our
children’s department upstairs and
themed it like a beach boardwalk.
The children LOVE it! We also
remodeled the Welcome Center
for the preschoolers, the student
department, the Celebrate
Recovery space, and the
fellowship hall and kitchen. Your
giving to the building fund in
addition to your general offerings
made this possible and continues
to help us pay down our mortgage
of approximately $500,000!
We baptized 37 new believers,
and had 38 other additions! Pray
we will reach many more in 2015!
Our “missions” budget constitutes
12% of our budget. This does not
include the additional amount our
members contribute for special
offerings and mission trips. You
gave $199,948 to missions
through the church! We are in the
top 45 missions-giving churches
among the 3,000 churches of the
Florida Baptist Convention.
Leading all of our ministries are
some gifted folks. Some of them
are unpaid, some of them are
underpaid, none of them are
overpaid, some are part-time,
some are full-time, and most are
over-time. Your giving helps
support these dedicated and godly
staff and ministry leaders, which
in-turn helps equip the church to
do the work of Christ!
All of this, and so much more, has
been made possible through the
generosity of people like you!
Thank you,
Ricky Powell,
Senior Pastor

We now have an online giving option available for mission trip donations on our e-giving website. You can login to your
e-giving account to make a donation. If you don’t have an account, one can be created or you may login as a guest. (It costs the
church less in fees to create an account for giving than to donate as a guest.)
Mission trip donations need to be done as separate transactions from regular online tithes and giving because a copy of the
receipt will need to be forwarded to the team leader or team trip financial coordinator (NOT Lori Gray) for accurate
recordkeeping.

LifeGroup Series
Everyone loves a good story. Even if you hate reading,
you probably don’t mind movies, TV shows, or a great
musical. There is just something about a story, a good
story that we can’t resist. When we were little, all the
great ones started with “Once upon a time”. They were
tales of heroes and villains, evil queens, noble princes,
and fairy godmothers. And while the characters in our
favorite stories look different now, not much else has
changed. We still love to see the good guy win, the bad
guy lose, and the couple live happily ever after. Maybe
it’s because, no matter how old you are, great stories have
the power to pull you in and make you feel like you’re a
part of them. Jesus knew that and He often told stories,
called parables, that worked the same way. His stories
may not have involved princesses or evil villains, but as
we take a look at four of these famous parables we may
just find that the characters look more familiar than we
could have ever imagined. March 8 - 29
