OUR STORY
In 1931, California Credit Union was born out of a need to provide reliable, rewarding, and convenient financial services to teachers and others in the education community. Almost a decade later, North Island Credit Union made a name for itself by providing banking resources to military and civil service personnel.
To provide even greater opportunities to Californians throughout the state, California Credit Union and North Island Credit Union have joined forces. The merger of California Credit Union and North Island Credit Union was initiated to ensure that we continue to deliver the value, service, and convenience you expect from your credit union.

California Credit Union and North Island Credit Union are part of a larger credit union family. Starting May 15, 2017, members from both credit unions are welcome to visit all branch locations and will have full access to our products and services.

Your banking experience will largely remain the same after the merger, with the same branches, Digital Banking, Contact Center, and CO-OP Network you may be using today. Please review the information below for answers to questions you may have about your credit union access, accounts, and services.
ABOUT OUR BRANCHES & ACCESS
Will all California Credit Union and North Island branches remain open?
Yes, all branches will remain open. Branch hours will remain the same as they are today.
Where are the branches located?
For a complete list of our branches throughout San Diego County and LA County, see the map on pages 2 and 3.
Can I use any of the branches and ATMs? Will I still have access to the CO-OP Network?
Starting on May 15, 2017, you’ll be able to visit any of our 24 branches throughout Southern California. You will also
continue to have access to our CO-OP ATM Network of over 30,000 ATMs.
Will Call Center hours remain the same?
One of the advantages of the merger is that we can enhance our member service. Starting May 15, 2017, we will extend
our Call Center hours to 7:00am – 7:00pm to better serve members.
Will the telephone number remain the same?
Our telephone numbers will remain the same. Please continue to use the phone numbers you currently utilize to contact
your credit union.
Will staff emails change?
You can continue to contact staff at the email(s) you currently use.
Who do I contact if I have additional questions?
We’re here to answer your questions! Please contact us (800) 334-8788 if you have additional questions.

ABOUT YOUR ACCOUNTS
Will my accounts continue to be insured?
Your accounts will continue to be federally insured just as they are today, through the National Credit Union Share
Insurance Fund, which is backed by the full faith and credit of the U.S. Government and managed by the National Credit
Union Administration (NCUA).
Are there changes to my member and/or account numbers?
The vast majority of member and/or account numbers will not be impacted.
Can I use my existing checks?
Yes. Most members may continue to use existing checks until they run out and are re-ordered. A small number of
members may be given new checks.
Will my routing number change?
The routing number for California Credit Union members remains 322078464. The routing number for North Island
members remains 322281468. Members with automated payments, direct deposit, or other electronic transfers that
use these routing numbers should not have to make any updates.
I already have direct deposit set up, do I need to change anything? No. Your direct deposit will continue to work without interruption.
Where do I send deposits and loan payments? Will the current address change?
You should continue sending your deposits and loan payments to the address you currently use. Deposit and loan
payment addresses can be found on our website, search for “Contact Us.”
Will interest rates on my loan change?
Your loan interest rates will remain the same as stated on the loan agreement.
I have long-term share certificates. Will my current rates and terms be honored after the merger?
All rates and terms on share certificates that you have established with California Credit Union and North Island will
be honored.

ABOUT OUR SERVICES
Will my Digital Banking change? Will my username and password still work?
Your Digital Banking will remain the same as it is today. Most users will keep their current username and/or password. Some
users may be prompted to update their username to comply with enhanced security measures.
Will the website address change?
You should continue to use our current website address.
Will my ACH deductions/credits to or from other financial institutions transfer without interruption or will I have to set
them up again?
All existing ACH deductions/credits will continue to be processed without interruption. You won’t need to set them
up again.
I have set up transfers between my accounts. Will that continue without interruption?
Yes, any transfers you have set up between your accounts will continue as scheduled.
Do I need to reset all of my Bill Pay accounts?
No. Your existing Bill Pay accounts will be automatically transferred when we integrate our credit union systems and you
will not need to restore your Bill Pay accounts.
Will my debit/credit card numbers change? Will I receive new cards?
Your debit/credit card numbers will remain as shown on your current card(s). New card numbers will only be re-issued
when the existing card expires or must be replaced due to loss or theft.
Will my credit card limit be affected or change?
Your credit card limit will remain the same as it is today.
Will there be any changes to my account notices and statements?
North Island members will see a new logo on their notices and statements as “North Island Credit Union, a division of
California Credit Union." California Credit Union members will receive separate statements for their loan and deposit
accounts (they will no longer be combined on one statement). Additionally, California Credit Union members will see a
newly-designed color statement with all of the vital account and transaction information included.
I use the mobile banking app. Should I be aware of any changes?
Yes. Starting May 15, 2017, we will offer one app for our combined organization. This will result in
an UPDATE for North Island app users. CCU users will have to DOWNLOAD the new app. Search for
“CCU Mobile Banking” in the app store and look for the new icon.

Have your payroll or government check deposited directly into your checking, savings, or money market accounts. Sign up for Direct

Pay Cards

Overdraft Services
Overdraft Protection helps prevent overdraft and unavailable funds/insufficient fees on your checking account.
Overdraft Protection Accounts
You may link your checking account to a savings account, a money market account, or a line of credit to automatically transfer funds
and avoid overdraft fees by requesting to link an account for Overdraft Protection. If you do not enroll in Overdraft Protection when
you sign up for your account, you can call (800) 848-5654. It only takes a moment, and will remain in effect until you inform
us otherwise.
Linking your accounts is free, although there is a $4 fee charged to your savings, money market account, or line of credit for each
overdraft transfer.
Courtesy Pay
With Courtesy Pay, we may cover your paper checks, bill payments, pre-authorized electronic transactions (ACH), and recurring debit card
transactions, even if there is not enough available funds in your qualified checking account.1
Additionally, ATM and one-time/everyday debit card transactions may be covered if you opt in to allow us to pay these transactions
when you do not have sufficient available funds in your checking account. If you do not opt in when you open your account, you may
opt in online or by calling (800) 848-5654.
There is no fee to have Courtesy Pay protection, but there is a $27 fee each time an overdraft occurs and we pay it, taking your account
negative.2
1 To be eligible, a qualified checking account must be in good standing which includes: negative balances paid timely (within 10 days), loan payments made on time, you have not caused a loss to the credit union, and you do not repeatedly overdraw your account.

With your Digital Banking account, you can stay informed with free, timely account alerts sent directly to your email
or mobile device:
• You choose the amount and we will send you a message that your account balance is getting low or has fallen below a
threshold that you have set
• Be notified of check clearings, paycheck deposits, and other account activity with transaction alerts
