The special winter models are available for order until 30.3.2020, these will be delivered to you in July and August. In this catalogue you will also find our 2020 summer outdoor shoe collection. Kids are constantly in action, their muscles are always in movement and that‘s great. That’s why children should be walking around barefoot as much as possible. The best alternative to barefoot is in shoes with flexible, soft soles in a material that is naturally breathable and pollutant-FREE.

POLOLOs new models are made from particularly soft, vegetable tanned, certified nappa leather with the addition of outside soles of natural crepe. Crepe is a latex natural rubber, it is characterized by a high elasticity and a very high levels of comfort. The soles offer a great grip and wonderful cushioning properties, are anti-slip and extremely durable.

POLOLO does not use any prefabricated footbeds, because feet don‘t have to go to bed! Young feet muscles have no need for support, but rather freedom to develop optimally and healthily. That’s why we don‘t have prefabricated, Orthopedic Footbeds. Like all POLOLO SOFT, these models are easy to put on and take off thanks to the incorporated rubber band. Suitable as a slipper for home or in kindergarten the sole is anti-slip and waterproof. You can also use these shoes, on warm dry days, for first steps outside. These models are available in four different colors: diestel (green), Tobagoblue, purple and indiansummer (orange) in sizes 20/21 to 32/33. All Soft models are made in Germany. Every shoe is handmade with lots of love and with natural materials, in the POLOLO manufactory near Herzogenaurach.

POLOLO offers brand new semi-high, wool lined boots made of vegetable tanned leather with incorporated waterproof membrane. The waterproof membrane is a thin layer placed between the 100 % wool lining and the outside leather layer. It is both insulating and waterproof, thus preventing the penetration of water into the boots. The membrane offers full breathability ensuring perfectly warm and dry feet all winter. The POLOLO waterproof boot is available in sizes 24 to 34 and in the colours red and blue.

DOLL SHOES: POLOLO’s „Doll Shoes“ are made of vegetable tanned nappa leather and are variegated. Each pair of shoes is unique! In order to work in a sustainable way, POLOLO uses up and processes all leather leftovers, which is why every model is always different and one of a kind. Doll‘s mums and even dads can now dress their little ones in pretty shoes, too. The „Doll Shoes“ are 7 cm long and fit e.g. „Baby Annabell“, „Baby Born“, as well as several dolls made by „Käthe Kruse“ and other manufacturers.

COT TON BAG : POLOLO does not use unnecessary packaging material. Especially the use of plastics shall be avoided! So, our „Cotton Bag“ could be used for different purposes again and again: to carry shoes, toys or even clothing for a playground or kindergarten stay.

POLOLO’s soft „Arm- and Legwarmers“ are made of 100% “kbT” (welfare oriented animal husbandry) wool and are the ideal addition to our shoes: The warmers are perfect for carrying babies, as their trousers simply always slip up too high. They warm the little ones‘ arms and legs while they are playing or sitting in a stroller. But they also look very “cool” on older children and have simply been designed for comfort. POLOLO‘s warmers are suitable for children‘s legs between the ages of 1 and 4. As „Armwarmers“ also available for older children.

In production, POLOLO consciously tales a different route to remain true to its company values.

The focus is always on ecology and the protection of nature, as well as health and social sustainability. Each SOFT, KIGA, Wolly and the new AMIGOS shoe is made by hand – produced to designs by POLOLO CEO and shoe designer Verena Carney. POLOLO SOFT styles are made exclusively in Oberreichenbach in Bavaria, because the „Made in Germany“ seal of quality is simultaneously a motivation and an obligation. POLOLO works with regional partners and suppliers that share the ideas and vision of ecologically and technically perfect shoes.

The solid children‘s shoes in the MINI & MAXI collection are produced by collaborative partners in Spain and Portugal who share these values.

POLOLO is the first shoe manufacturer to carry the challenging IVN „Natural leather“ and “Biokreis Leather” certificates, which are both considered the highest quality for shoe and leather labels amongst environmental- and consumer-protection groups.

POLOLO meets the strict guidelines of these certificates, which assesses the entire production chain from all ecologically-rel-evant points of view: from a low environmental impact in the production and obtaining of raw materials, through important health aspects and low levels of harmful and hazardous sub-stances, to the disposal of products and their ability to be recycled.

This rigour has also convinced WWF and Greenpeace, amongst others, with whom POLOLO has already worked in the past.

The idea behind the foundation 2003 The search for crawler and toddler shoes was fruitless in 2002. The two mothers, Kuntze and Carney, could not find any functional shoes for their children that were protective for the first steps and for romping around, had an attractive, modern design and were produced ecologically. Over a plate of spaghetti, the mothers decided to produce their own shoes. They sold their first little POLOLO collection, with six different motifs, very successfully at a Christmas market in Berlin. Since then, the collection has become a great deal more extensive and the team has grown.
