Description of the applianceControl panel

1. ON/OFFTheentireproduct(boththerefrigeratorandfreezercompartments)maybeswitchedonbypressingthisbutton.TheredLEDindicatesthattheproductisswitchedoff,whilethegreenLEDshowsthatitisoperating.

2. REFRIGERATOR and temperature adjustmentUsedtomodifythetemperaturesettingoftherefrigerator;confirmationcorrespondingtotheselectedtemperatureappearsonthedisplay.

3. Refrigerator displayShowsthesettemperaturefortherefrigeratorcompartment.

4. I-CAREControlstheactivationanddeactivationoftheI-CAREfunction(optimaloperatingtemperatureforminimalenergyconsumption).Whenthisfunctionisactivated,theI-CARELEDonthekeypadlightsup.PressandholdtheI-CAREbuttonfor8secondssothatthecorrespondingLEDbegins to flash; thiswill allow you to set the temperature to+4°,+5°,+6° in theRefrigerator compartment and -18°,-19°,-20° intheFreezer compartment. Tenminutesafter themost recent userinteraction, thedisplay enters its energy savingmode.Toexit theenergysavingmode,simplypressanybuttonoropentherefrigeratordoor.

5. ALARMAn alarm situation has been detected in the product (seeTroubleshooting section).

6. CHILD LOCKActivates or deactivates the control panel button lock in order toavoid the risk of the various functions being activated accidentally by children.TheCHILDLOCKLEDonthekeypadlightsup.

7. FREEZER and temperature adjustmentUsedtomodifythetemperaturesettingofthefreezer;confirmationcorrespondingtotheselectedtemperatureappearsonthedisplay.

GB Installation!Beforeplacingyournewapplianceintooperationpleasereadthese operating instructions carefully. Positioning and connectionPositioning1. Placetheapplianceinawell-ventilatedhumidity-freeroom.2. Do not obstruct the rear fan grills. The compressor and

condensergiveoffheatandrequiregoodventilationtooperatecorrectly and save energy.

3. Leaveaspaceofatleast10cmbetweenthetoppartoftheapplianceandanyfurnitureaboveit,andatleast5cmbetweenthesidesandanyfurniture/sidewalls.

4. Ensuretheapplianceisawayfromanysourcesofheat(directsunlight,electricstove,etc.).

5. Inordertomaintainthecorrectdistancebetweentheapplianceandthewallbehindit,fitthespacerssuppliedintheinstallationkit,followingtheinstructionsprovided.

Levelling1. Installtheapplianceonalevelandrigidfloor.2. Ifthefloorisnotperfectlyhorizontal,adjusttherefrigeratorby

tightening or loosening the front feet.

Electrical connectionsAfter the appliance has been transported, carefully place itvertically and wait at least 3 hours before connecting it to the electricitymains.Beforeinsertingtheplugintotheelectricalsocketensure the following:

• Theapplianceisearthedandtheplugiscompliantwiththelaw.• Thesocketcanwithstandthemaximumpoweroftheappliance,

whichisindicatedonthedataplatelocatedonthebottomleftsideofthefridge(e.g.150W).

• Thevoltagemustbeintherangebetweenthevaluesindicatedon thedataplate locatedon thebottom leftside(e.g.220-240V).

• The socket is compatiblewith theplugof theappliance. Ifthesocket is incompatiblewith theplug,askanauthorisedtechniciantoreplaceit(see Assistance).Donotuseextensioncordsormultiplesockets.

!Oncetheappliancehasbeeninstalled,thepowersupplycableand the electrical socket must be easily accessible.!Thecablemustnotbebentorcompressed.!Thecablemustbecheckedregularlyandreplacedbyauthorisedtechnicians only (see Assistance).! The manufacturer declines any liability should these safety measures not be observed.

Start-up and useStarting the appliance!After transportationof theappliance, carefullyplace it in anuprightpositionandwaitatleast3hoursbeforeconnectingittotheelectricitymains,tomakesureitoperatesasitshould.• Cleantheinsideoftherefrigeratorwellusingwarmwaterand

bicarbonateofsodabeforeplacingfoodinsideit.• Theappliancecomeswithamotorprotectioncontrolsystem

whichmakesthecompressorstartapproximately8minutesafterbeingswitchedon.Thecompressoralsostartseachtimethepowersupplyiscutoffwhethervoluntarilyorinvoluntarily(blackout).

Freezer CompartmentWhen theproduct is switchedon the freezer compartment issettoitsdefaultvalueof-18°C.WerecommendthattheSUPERFREEZEfunctionisset(thefreezerstatusbarcontinuestodisplaythesetvalue)inordertoacceleratethecoolingprocessofthecompartment;whentheinsideofthecompartmenthasreacheditsoptimaltemperaturethefunctionwillbedeactivatedandthefoodmaybeplacedinside.

Refrigerator CompartmentWhentheapplianceisswitchedontherefrigeratorcompartmentissettoitsdefaultvalueof+5°C.WerecommendthattheSUPERCOOL function is set (the refrigerator statusbar continues todisplaythesetvalue)inordertoacceleratethecoolingprocessofthecompartment.Afterafewhoursitwillbecoolenoughforfoodtobeplacedinside.

Navigating the displaySetting the temperatures:If the product is switched on, the refrigerator and freezercompartmentdisplayswillindicatethetemperaturevaluessetatthatmoment.Tochangethem,simplypressthe- and + buttons correspondingtothecompartmentforwhichyouwishtochangethesettemperature.Morespecifically,eachtimethebuttonsarepressed,thetemperatureincreasesordecreasesandthelevelofcoldgeneratedinsidethecompartmentisadjustedaccordingly.Thetemperaturevaluesthatmaybeselectedfortherefrigeratorcompartmentare+8°C,+7°C,+6°C,+5°C,+4°C,+3°Cand+2°C,whilethevaluesthatmaybesetforthefreezerare-18°C,-19°C,-20°C,-21°C,-22°C,-24°Cand-26°C.Whenthe“I-CARE”functionisactive,theapplianceautomaticallyadjusts the temperatures according to the conditions insideandoutsidetherefrigerator,inordertominimisetheamountofenergyconsumed;theactivationofthisfunctionissignalledbythe I-CARELEDonthekeypadlightingup.WhentheHOLIDAY functionisactivethetemperaturemaynotbeadjusted,howevertheapplianceadjustsitselfautomaticallysothattheoptimalsettingsforthesituationareused:+12°C for the refrigeratorcompartmentand-18°Cforthefreezercompartment.The activation of this function is indicated by the HOLIDAY LEDlightingup.

Toactivateanddeactivatethefunctions,simplypresstherelevantbutton;thefunctionstatuswillbesignalledbythecorrespondingLEDonthekeypadswitchingonoroff.Severalofthefunctions(SUPER COOL, SUPER FREEZE, ICE PARTY, I-CARE) are incompatiblewith others (HOLIDAY,...);rememberthatthereisapre-establishedorderofprioritywhichwillhelpyoutooperatetheproductinthebestpossibleway.WhentheICE PARTYfunctionhasfinished,presstheICE PARTY buttontostopthecorrespondingLEDfromflashingandtosilencethe sound alert. The flashing and sound alerts indicate that the functioniscompleteandthatthebottleshouldberemovedfromthefreezercompartment.

Child LockToactivatetheChildLockfunction,pressandholdtheChildLockbuttonfor2seconds;theactivationofthisbuttonlockisconfirmedbyashortbeepandtheilluminationofthecorrespondingLEDonthekeypad.Todeactivatethefunction,pressandholdtheChildLockbuttonfor2sI-CAREnds;deactivationwillbeconfirmedbyashortbeepandbythecorrespondingLEDswitchingoff.

Chiller system No Frost

TheNoFrostsystemcirculatescoldaircontinuously tocollecthumidityandpreventiceandfrostformation.Thesystemmaintainsan optimal humidity level in the compartment, preserving theoriginal quality of the food, preventing the food from stickingtogetherandmakingdefrostingathingofthepast.Donotblocktheaerationcellsbyplacingfoodorcontainersindirectcontactwith therefrigeratingbackpanel.Closebottlesandwrapfoodtightly.

Using the refrigerator to its full potential• Placeonlycoldorlukewarmfoodsinthecompartment,never

hotfoods(seePrecautionsandtips).• Rememberthatcookedfoodsdonotlastlongerthanrawfoods.• Donotstoreliquidsinopencontainers:theywillincreasethe

level of humidity in the refrigerator and cause condensation to form.

SHELVES: with or without grill. Due to the specialguides the shelvesare removableand theheightisadjustable(seediagram),allowingeasystorageoflargecontainersandfood.Heightcanbeadjustedwithoutcompleteremoval of the shelf.

TEMPERATURE Indicatorlight*: to identify the coldest area in the refrigerator.1. Check thatOKappears clearly on the indicator light (see

diagram).

2. Iftheword“OK”doesnotappearitmeansthatthetemperatureistoohigh:adjusttheREFRIGERATOROPERATIONknobtoahigherposition(colder)andwaitapproximately10hoursuntilthetemperaturehasbeenstabilised.

3. Checktheindicatorlightagain:ifnecessary,readjustitfollowingtheinitialprocess.Iflargequantitiesoffoodhavebeenaddedor if the refrigeratordoorhasbeenopened frequently, it isnormalfortheindicatornottoshowOK.Waitatleast10hoursbeforeadjustingtheREFRIGERATOROPERATIONknobtoahigher setting.

Food Care Zone *Areadedicatedtothestorageoffreshfood,suchasmeatandfish.Thankstothelowtemperatureinsidethecompartment,theFoodCareZoneextendstheperiodof timeforwhichthefoodcanbestored,keepingitfreshforuptoaweek.

Using the freezer to its full potential• Adjustthetemperatureusingthedisplay.• Freshfoodthatneedstobefrozenmustnotcomeintocontact

with food that has already been defrosted. Fresh food must bestoredinthetopFREEZERandSTORAGEcompartmentwhere the temperaturedropsbelow -18°Candguaranteesrapidfreezing.

• Tofreezefreshfoodinthebestandsafestwaypossible,activatetheSUPERFREEZEfunction24hoursbeforeplacingthefoodinthefreezer.Afterplacingthefoodinside,activatetheSUPERFREEZEfunctionagain;itwillbedeactivatedautomaticallyafter24hours;

• Donotre-freezefoodthatisdefrostingorthathasalreadybeendefrosted. These foods must be cooked and eaten (within 24 hours).

• Donotplaceglassbottleswhichcontainliquids,andwhicharecorkedorhermeticallysealedinthefreezerbecausetheycould break.

• Themaximumquantity of food thatmaybe frozendaily isindicated on the plate containing the technical propertieslocatedonthebottomleftsideoftherefrigeratorcompartment(forexample:Kg/24h:4).

! To avoid blocking the air circulation inside the freezercompartment,itisadvisablenottoobstructtheventilationholeswith food or containers.!Donotopenthedoorduringfreezing.!Ifthereisapowercutormalfunction,donotopenthefreezerdoor.Thiswillhelpmaintainthetemperatureinsidethefreezer,ensuringthatfoodsareconservedforatleast9-14hours.!Tomaximise space inside the freezer, all drawers [with theexception of the bottomdrawer] can be removed from theirpositionsandthefoodplaceddirectlyontheracks/glassshelvessupplied[wherepresent].

GB Ice3 ice tray* Thefactthattheyaresituatedonthetoppartofthefreezerdrawersensures greater cleanliness: the ice no longer comes into contact withthefoodplacedinsidethefreezercompartment;furthermore,thedrippingofthewaterduringfillingisavoided(alidtocoveruptheholeafterfillingwithwaterisalsoprovided).

1. Pulloutthetraybypushingitup.Checkthatthetrayisompletelyemptyandfillitwithwaterthroughtheopeningprovided.

2. Take care not to exceed the level indicated (MAXWATERLEVEL).Excesswaterpreventstheicecubesfromdispensing(ifthishappens,waitfortheicetomeltandemptythetray).

3. Turnthetray90°:duetotheconnectedcompartmentseachmould fills with water (see diagram).

4. Closetheopeningwiththelidprovidedandputthetrayback,placingthetoppartinthecorrespondinghousingandallowingittodropinagain.

5. Whentheicehasformed(minimumtimeapproximately8hours)knock the tray against a hard surface and wet the outside so that the ice cubes come loose and take them out through the opening.

Maintenance and careSwitching the appliance offDuringcleaningandmaintenanceitisnecessarytodisconnecttheappliancefromtheelectricitysupply:

1. PresstheON/OFFbuttontoswitchofftheappliance.2. Pulltheplugoutofthesocket.

!Ifthisprocedureisnotfollowed,thealarmmaysound.Thisalarmdoesnot indicate amalfunction. To restore normal operation,hold theON/OFFbuttondown formore than twoseconds.Todisconnecttheappliance,followpoints1and2above.

Cleaning the appliance• Theexternalandinternalparts,aswellastherubbersealsmay

becleanedusingaspongethathasbeensoakedinlukewarmwaterandbicarbonateofsodaorneutralsoap.Donotusesolvents,abrasiveproducts,bleachorammonia.

• Theremovableaccessoriesmaybesoakedinwarmwaterandsoapordishwashingliquid.Rinseanddrythemcarefully.

• Thebackof the appliancemaycollect dustwhich canberemoved by delicately using the hose of a vacuum cleaner set onmediumpower.Theappliancemustbeswitchedoffandtheplugmustbepulledoutbeforecleaningtheappliance.

Avoiding mould and unpleasant odours• Theapplianceismanufacturedwithhygienicmaterialswhich

areodourfree.Inordertomaintainanodourfreerefrigeratorandtopreventtheformationofstains,foodmustalwaysbecoveredorsealedproperly.

• Ifyouwanttoswitchtheapplianceoffforanextendedperiodoftime,cleantheinsideandleavethedoorsopen.

Replacing the light bulb *Toreplacethelightbulbintherefrigeratorcompartment,pullouttheplugfromtheelectricalsocket.Followtheinstructionsbelow.Access the light bulb by removing the cover as indicated in the diagram.Replaceitwithasimilarlightbulbwithinthepowerrangeindicated on the cover.

• Donottouchtheappliancewithbarefeetorwithwetormoisthands and feet.

• Donottouchtheinternalcoolingelements:thiscouldcauseskinabrasionsorfrost/freezerburns.

• Whenunpluggingtheappliancealwayspulltheplugfromthemainssocket,donotpullonthecable.

Suena la alarma, en la pantalla centellea la ALARMA PUERTA ABIERTA (en lugar de la temperatura FRIGORÍFICO se visualiza “d”).• Elfrigoríficohaquedadoabiertodurantemásdedosminutos. Laseñalsonoracesacuandosecierralapuertaosiseapaga

yvuelveaencenderelaparato.

Suena la alarma, en la pantalla centellea la ALARMA TEMPERATURA (en lugar de la temperatura CONGELADOR se visualiza “A1”).• Elaparatoseñalauncalentamientoexcesivodelcongelador. Elcongeladorsemantendráaunatemperaturacercanaa0ºC

para no recongelar los alimentos, permitiendoconsumirlosdentrodelas24horasovolveracongelarlospreviacocción.Paraapagarlaseñalsonora,abraycierrelapuertaopresioneunavezlosbotones+y–deregulacióndetemperaturadelcongelador.Presiónelosunavezmásparavisualizarelvalorfijado,enlapantalladelcongelador,apagueelledALARMAPORTEMPERATURAyrestablezcaelfuncionamientonormal.

Suena la alarma, en la pantalla centellea la alarma temperatura (en lugar de la temperatura CONGELADOR se visualiza “A2”).• Elaparatoseñalauncalentamientopeligrosodelcongelador:

los alimentos no deben ser consumidos. El congelador se mantendráaunatemperaturacercanaalos0ºC.Paraapagarlaseñalsonora,abraycierrelapuertaopresioneunavezlosbotones+y–deregulacióndetemperaturadelcongelador.Presiónelos una vezmáspara visualizar el valor fijado, enla pantalla del congelador, apague el ledALARMAPORTEMPERATURAyrestablezcaelfuncionamientonormal.
