ENGLISH LESSON PLAN (Language Arts) Subject : English Language Year/Class : 3 UM (29 pupils) Date/Day : 21 st April 2015 (Wednesday) Time : 8.45 a.m – 9.45 a.m (60 minutes) Theme : World of Knowledge Topic : Animal in the Sea Focused skill : Language Arts Content standard : 4.3. By the end of the 6-year primary schooling, pupils will be able to plan, organize and produce creative works for enjoyment. Learning standard : 4.3.1 Able to produce simple creative works with guidance based on : (c) action song 4.3.2 Able to perform with guidance based on : (c) action songs Objective : By the end of the lesson, pupils will be able to: 1) name all the parts of the turtle’s body in ‘Guess Me’ game.

Introducing the song about Timmy Turtle

Singing the song with the class.1. The lyric is paste on the board.

2. Teacher plays the video of the song to the class.

3. Teacher sings the song first and asks the pupils to listen carefully.

4. Teacher sings the song again and asks pupils to repeat.

Getting to know the turtles body parts.

1. Teacher paste a picture of a turtle to the class.

2. Teacher labels the body parts of the turtle.

3. Teacher asks pupils to name the body parts.

4. Teacher calls out some pupils to write down the body parts on the board.

Production( 20 minutes)

Creating and designing turtle craft.

Instructions:a. Every pupil need to take a template from teacher.b. Colour the template first.c. Then, cut the body parts according to the line.d. Lastly, glue the body parts accordingly.1. Teacher gives a template to every pupil.

2. Teacher tells the class on what they have to do.

3. Pupils are given some time to complete their task.

4. Pupils can discuss with their friends on how to design the craft.Template(Appendix 4)
