The Concept

Immersive 3D Game

Formal ESL Curriculum

English Black Belt has created a custom online world designed to help subscribers learn English. As they complete missions in the online world they are allowed to journey to the Outpost, our integrated and customized Minecraft server.

The Curriculum

The English Black Belt curriculum contains 2000 words. Students are tested on their skills with listening, reading, spelling and speaking. Their pronunciation is graded in real time in our game and on the mobile app.

The 3D Game

Players will help the Black Belt Villagers by saying magic spells to battle strange creatures that are mysteriously arriving in their town. They must say the spells correctly to progress in the game.

Minecraft

We have integrated our 3D world with a customized Minecraft server. Players will move between the 3D world and Minecraft as they play the game.

Additional funds to complete the 3D portion of the game. This is needed to pay staff, develop the 3D models and complete the Java coding.

What we need….

Our team of founders has an international background and combined experience with gamingand technology. Spending time overseas, and wanting our kids to speak proper English, we realized that there were not any systems to teach kids that were fun. So we created a fun to play game that leverages technology to provide real time feedback on speaking skills.
