nation to a great extent. As a result female education in
Bangladesh is given importance for her national growth
and development. But the scenario is not so
satisfactory.
In our family and social life, the females play a very
vital role. As mothers, sisters and housewives, their
function is highly important. They give the children
primary academic education and moral lesson. The
mental make-up, nature, behaviour, moral values,
character, personality- everything of the children
largely depend on the knowledge and skills of the
female. Even the health and treatment of the family
members are also largely dependent on their care and
consciousness. Actually females are the key factors in
the family life. As they play such vital roles in family
and society, they must be properly educated. If they are
not educated the whole society will be affected.
A woman has a significant role as a citizen in the state

The student life is the period of life we spend in
educational institutions in acquiring knowledge. It
is the time for having prepared for struggle in later
life. It is called the seedtime of human life, as our
achievements in life depend on our performance in
our student life. The first and foremost duty of a
student is to gather knowledge. In this period a
student prepares himself for different duties in the
future. In schools, colleges, and universities
teachers help them to equip themselves with
necessary qualities. If this period is neglected they
are sure to suffer. Along with the coursework they
should also try to acquire knowledge about the
current affairs and all sorts of important issues.
Having an extended reading and building a reading
habit will help them throughout their life. A student
should also take proper care of his health. It is said
that ‘Health is wealth’. A man without a sound
health cannot prosper in any field. So it is necessary
to maintain good health. For this purpose taking
regular nutritious food, having proper physical
exercise and maintaining good habits of cleanliness
is very much necessary. A student needs to make
the best use of his lime. He must not confine
himself to his class books only. He should read
other good and informative books, newspapers,
magazines, and periodicals, too. Students will be
the future leaders of the nation. They are the hope
and strength of a nation. So, this time should be
used properly in constructive and preparatory
activities for ensuring a bright future.

ANSWER
1. Human rights are those rights that a person is
entitled to have as a human being. Actually, human
rights are those rights inherent to all human beings
regardless of their nationality, sex, colour, religion,
language or any other status. It includes both basic
needs and lawful rights. The basic needs are food,
clothing, shelter, education and medical care.
Without any of these rights, the development of a
person will be hindered vehemently. Even, his life
may come to an end. On the other hand, there are
some rights that a person is entitled to either as a
citizen of a country or as a person belonging to this
world. These rights include being equal before law,
freedom of speech, movement, thoughts and
conscience, beliefs, peaceful assembly etc. No one
shall be forced to be a slave or to do any work. If a
man becomes deprived of basic human rights, his
mental growth will be hampered. In the present
world, the condition of human rights is very
deplorable. This situation must be developed to live
a standard and peaceful life.
02. The 16th of December is the Victory Day of
Bangladesh. Besides, It is the most memorable day
in the history of our country. After a nine-month-
long bloody battle, we won the victory on this day
and The Pakistani Army was compelled to
surrender. Thus, Bangladesh occupied a place in the
world map as an independent country. Every year
we observe this day with due solemnity and we
remember the supreme sacrifice of the patriotic
heroic sons who laid down their lives for the
country paying great tribute to their departed soul.
Actually, The day begins with gunshots when the
whole country puts on a festive look. In this day,
The national flag is hoisted on the top of each
house and office and the whole atmosphere is
resounded with Bangabandhu’s fiery speech of the
March and the patriotic songs. The armed forces of
the country organize special parades and gun-shots.
The Prime Minister and the President took salute
from them. Political leaders and people, in general,
visit the National Monument at Savar. This day will
remain ever fresh and evergreen in the heart of each
and every Bangladeshi.
03. Female education is very essential for the overall
development of a nation. About fifty percent of the
total population of our country are female. A
country cannot expect her prosperity avoiding this
large part of population. But most of the women are
lagging far behind in education. The rate of female
literacy is about 20%. This rate of female literacy is
alarming. Women need to be educated for different
reasons. To be a conscious citizen of the country, to
be an active member of the family and society, to
be a good mother or wife and to lead a self-reliant
better life, a woman should be educated properly.
Besides, educated women have higher income
potential than those who have had no schooling. An
educated woman is conscious of her duties, rights
and responsibilities. Moreover, every woman is a
potential mother. Education of a child greatly
depends upon its mother.
