In the DDF video, our Bishop

encourages us to make a very important decision:

“To have a more active

participation in the Diocesan Development

Fund”

Page 3: English

What is the Diocesan

Development Fund (DDF)?

• It is the primary tool to invest in ministries that help us grow in faith and love with God and our Church. The gift you share today through the DDF will impact you, your parish, and the larger church.

This year our parish has a Dollar Goal of $32,400

(This is the amount that our parish needs to contribute to the DDF.)

Everything that we give over $32,400 will come back to benefit our parish.

Page 7: English

Last year out of 3,211 registered families.

Only 262 made a pledge and contributed to the DDF.

Our sincere

gratitude to these families.

Their names

are posted in front of the parish.

Page 8: English

Today we have 3388 registered families

We pray that this year more families will be open to God’s call

3388However, we are aware that many people are having trouble balancing their budget in this economic crisis

“Bring the whole tithe into the temple, that there

may be food in my house, and try me in this, says the Lord of hosts: Shall I

not open for you the floodgates of heaven, to

pour down blessings upon you without measure?”

(Malachi 3:10)

Does it ever occur to us that when we put God first, one’s money is likely to

last longer?

Do youKnowWhat

Scripture mentions 46 times that tithing (giving 10% of our income)

is God’s concept of giving.

Giving the first hour of our Work week is on average 2.5%

Parish Member Testimonial

“I was afraid to give more, so I took a step in faith when I heard

the DDF message. I’ve never regretted it.

God has not let me down. God has richly blessed our family

spiritually and materially. I'm teaching my children to give in

a spirit of joy and gratitude.”

Page 15: English

If you are already contributing to the DDF, you have surely experienced its benefits.

But perhaps you never have and you’d like to try it.

That’s a personal decision, and it should be thought about and prayed over.

Page 16: English

Our Lord Jesus Christ guarantees us that no one is poor for giving gifts to our God,

Who is so rich in love, mercy and goodness.

Page 17: English

We encourage you to use the envelopes when you give your

donations. Using the envelopes will be of great benefit for you and your

family. Financial benefits such as lower fees for faith

formation, sacramental preparation, and other

benefits

And as many people would say“Using the envelopes is like gift wrapping

your offer to God.”

Page 18: English

Payment of your pledge of $100 or more is easy.

When you drop your offering envelope to the collection basket add the $2.00 or more and mark DDF on the envelope.

Your DDF donation will be credited to your envelope no. The Church will mail the payment to the Diocese.

Description: Explains what tithing is, discusses its biblical background, and quotes Christians who say that tithing actually helps them balance their budget.

“…No program accomplishes the church’s mission. No set of goals and objectives includes everything. This

is what we are about. We plant the seeds that one day will grow. We

water seeds already planted… We lay foundations that will need further

development... We cannot do everything, and there is a sense of

liberation in realizing that. This enables us to do something, and to do it very well. It may be incomplete, but it is a beginning, a

step along the way, an opportunity for the Lord’s grace

to enter and do the rest…”Archbishop Oscar Romero
