As a table group, write a theme statement for this short story.

Imagine that the short story in becoming a major motion picture.

Create a movie poster to advertise the movie.

Your group’s chosen theme statement should be the movie poster’s main slogan.

Mock Interviews Scenario AAn immigrant, newly landed in Canada. Travelled to our country to avoid persecution in his/her home country of Sierra Leone. It was a very dangerous trip to Canada, especially when the sailors found his family illegally stowed on the bottom floor of the ship.

Scenario BThe son (now 65 years old) of a soldier who fought in WWII. He heard numerous stories of how his father was a pilot for the British army. One story stands out among all the others: While flying an attack mission, his plane was nearly shot down over Germany.
