What you can do to help your child succeed in English 11
Check your child’s agenda if he or she is missing homework.
Help your child find time and space to read and study.
Engage in conversation with your child about important world events and politics. Many of this year’s juniors will be eligible to vote in the 2012 Presidential Election.
Encourage your child to read newspapers and magazines--such as Time. Reading these online is just as good.
Allow your child to solve their own problems as much as possible, but please contact teachers if you sense that academic problems may be out of control.
