Since I started engineering in September I have learnt so many new things to do with engineering. We have been working on our Aluminium Pen Holders which has required us to use various machines and tools such as the Pillar drill, Centre lathe, Milling machine, files and drills. When you first use the machines it is very scary which is mainly your first real fear, but once you get to grip and know what you are doing it is fun.
I chose engineering for a few reasons; one of my reasons is that it will help me in my career in the Royal Navy as a Weapons Engineering Officer. The other reason I chose engineering is because I like making and constructing things, working with different materials and tools which can really help you in the future.
