SITE SURVEYS & FIELD SERVICESThe TyneTec Engineering team are certified for offshore travel and can perform site
surveys, supervision of loadout processes, upgrading of existing structures, integrity
reports, work package preparation and work completions post deployment.

ENGINEERING CONSULTANCY We provide engineering consultancy services, providing reassurance and
advice to customers who may be working outside traditional scopes of
familiarity or expertise. We can provide front end engineering design studies,
surveys and preliminary designs. We can also work in an advisory capacity
providing suggestions for optimisation within the project.
We can perform a comprehensive project evaluation, prior to final approval to
ensure the integrity of a proposed design, including risk analysis of the project
design, culminating in a final report and presentation of our conclusions.

TyneTec Engineering has a vast range of expertise and we pride ourselves in having a knowledgeable, skilled and experienced team supporting many sectors.
OFFSHORE & SUBSEA ENGINEERINGWe have experience of designing for topside oil and gas installations. We have designed support structures for packaged equipment such as semi-submersibles, fixed platformans and FPSO installations, including exhaust stacks designed to the ASME STS-1 standard. The team have also completed several vessel upgrade and modification scopes including analysis of moonpool deck structures.
Our subsea engineering capabilities include designing umbilicals, hang-offs and subsea support structures, installation reels and handling aids.
The team has extensive experience in all aspects of subsea umbilical termination hardware design, working to API 17E and ISO 13628 part 5 standards. TyneTec Engineering’s experience of hardware installation complements the design process.
MARINEIn addition to vessel and rig modification projects, TyneTec Engineering have the capacity to provide engineering support for new vessels, vessel conversions, dry dock design and access systems.

POWER GENERATIONWe have worked on several gas and coal power stations
in respect to the intake and exhaust from the turbines.
Our previous work includes design of turbine air intake
and exhaust systems, ductwork and exhaust stacks,
support structures for turbine and filter packages,
acoustic enclosures for turbines and generators and
lifting frames for transportation of large filter houses.
MATERIALS HANDLINGThe team recently designed and engineered material
handling structures for the building of a nuclear power
station in the UK. The scope of work included producing
fabrication drawings for gantries, access towers,
conveyors and transfer towers.
HEAVY LIFTS & TRANSPORTATIONWe have extensive experience of designing temporary
structures to facilitate the fabrication and load-out
of topside modules, weighing typically up to 3000Te.
Workscopes generally include fabrication support,
jacking, lifting, load-out and sea-fastenening.
INDUSTRIAL BUILDINGSWe provide structural engineering design work for industrial
facilities. The team are particularly skilled in designing steel
and composite steel work, and reinforced concrete.
AIR POLLUTION CONTROLWe have experience of mechanical and structural design
of products including air intake towers, filter houses,
ductwork, runway beams, lifting lugs, exhaust systems and
acoustic enclosures for gas turbines.
We have experience of designing steelwork to relevant
specifications such as British Standards BS449, BS 5950,
AISC 9th and 13th Editions, applying relevant loads using
codes including CP3, UBC and ASCE.
PROCESS We have undertaken several projects within the
process industry providing structural design and
detailing. Most notably we have provided structural
design of new plant and support structures, including
several projects to upgrade existing buildings,
pipe bridges and access walkways.
