w H a t i s E n g i n E E r E d H a r d w o o d F l o o r i n g ? Engineered hardwood flooring is composed of three to nine layers called plies that
are glued together. the superior layer is made of solid wood and the inferior layers
are made of plywood core, finger blocks of solid wood or fibreboard. the multiple
layers structure adds stability and resistance to moisture and temperature changes.
Engineered flooring is perfect for those areas of the home where solid wood may not
be suitable, such as basements and kitchens, because humidity will not alter it.
m o u l d i n g sinspiration at your feet offers four types of
coordinating mouldings to complete the look
of your engineered hardwood flooring.
Reducer
a reducer moulding
provides a smooth
transition between
hardwood flooring and
other floor coverings
with differing heights.
T-moulding
the t-moulding
is used in doorways
or entryways.
Square nose
a square nose moulding
is used to finish the
flooring edge at a
staircase or for sharper
transition between
different levels of
flooring compared to
a reducer.
Stair nose
the stair nose
moulding is used
to finish the flooring
edge of each stair
and at a staircase.

the company is constantly improving its procedure to respect those criteria
for the well-being of everyone. beaulieu canada is proud to unveil its new
quality certification: beaulieu lab certified (blc).
For each category of hard surface flooring, many tests are performed to ensure
a strict quality control and to conform to industry regulation. a physical inspection
is executed during the manufacturing process to verify the colour, the length,
the width, etc.
Each test is documented with detailed reports, photos and videos to guarantee
accuracy. beaulieu canada is therefore confident that its products maintain high
quality criteria.
the majority of beaulieu canada hard surface flooring products will now respect
this certification and will easily be recognisable by the blc logo on the product box.
beaulieu canada is one of the only flooring manufacturers and distributers to
require these tests for its hard surface products. the company believes this is
a crucial step for quality control enhancement.

overview of the tests performed on our engineered hardwood flooring:
room scene and colour swatches may not show all potential variations of grain and shade.
wood is a natural product with distinctive differences in colour and grain configuration.
these differences, inherent in nature, create the warmth, beauty and individuality of each hardwood floor.
wood flooring changes colour over time with exposure to oxygen and sunlight.
