    The best way to develop leadership skills is to practice, practice, practice. And for four days each June that is exactly what Missouri’s brightest freshmen and sophomore student leaders do in the Leadership in Practice program developed by the Missouri Chamber Foundation. The 2018 program will be held on the campus of Westminster College in Fulton. The program engages students in profound ways by putting them through hands-on simulations and activities with experienced facilitators and community leaders from around the state.

    HANDS-ON EXPERIENCE

    Give your brightest current freshmen or sophomores a hands-on experience in leadership. The Leadership in Practice program uses real-life activities and challenges to prepare students for success in high school, college and beyond.• Presentations by top business and civic leaders• Challenging simulations and activities• Lessons in global, business and civic leadership• Strong focus on personal growth

    Students must confirm attendance by May 15, 2018

    PROGRAM PRICINGSupport from community and business sponsorships keeps costs low for students and families: $250 per student.

    For students with financial need full and partial scholarships are available.

    APPLICATION REQUIREMENTS

    Applicants must currently be enrolled in the 9th or 10th Grade. (Class of 2020 or 2021)

    Applicant must exhibit character, scholarship and leadership in the school and community, or the potential to lead.Application must include a letter of support from either a superintendent, principal, counselor, teacher, student council sponsor or a business/civic leader.Application must include a $25 application feeApply online: www.mochamber.com/lip
