What will consumers be wearing next year? What will be the hot new fashion styles and next season's "must haves"?Welcome to the exciting and ever-changing role of Fashion Forecasting! Learn the importance of fashion forecasting as research in designing and developing products from textiles, ready-to-wear, accessories, retail. Projects will include producing creative fashion forecasting presentations: seasonal color cards, silhouette/fabric trend boards, and multi-media presentations. We will also focus on the diversified career opportunities of fashion forecasting within the fashion industry.

The programme will be of one full day.

Duration

Participation will be limited to a maximum of twenty five (on a first come first serve basis). Any and all in the creative field including designers, managers, design students, professionals benefit from this programme. Others desiring to increase their sensitivity and creativity are also welcome. All that is needed is an open mind

Intake

The Mood & Fashion Trend Forecasting Course will allow students to learn how to plan a product in relation to current trends. From the colour to the fabric to the silouhettes and the target concepts in relation to the fashion trends. The course requires to student become familiar with Internet researching trends. The student will collect information trough Internet - will make mood boards & written brief, to demonstrate their own interpretations of a theme and/or trend.
