Weekly message from Miss CuttsCalling all Endeavourians!
Some exciting things this week! Firstly, you need to decide what you would like our House Charity to be! I’ve whittled the choice down to two amazing charities – The Kiyan Prince Foundation and
Shropshire and Staffordshire Blood Bikes! Both are wonderful charities and you can find out more about them in the following slides. Then use the survey monkey link to vote for the charity you think should
be Endeavour’s!We are also looking for two year 11 House Captains to represent Endeavour, help us make decisions
and help lead us to victory this year! If you’d like to be one of our captains, have a look at the slide with all the details on how to enter further on.
Don’t forget to keep getting those entries in for the House logo and motto!I know this week has been a strange and tough one, but we’re all in this together.
Stay safe!Miss Cutts

House Charity: Option 1-The KiyanPrince Foundation
⋆ The Kiyan Prince Foundation was set up in memory of Kiyan Prince, by his father Dr Mark Prince. Kiyan was stabbed in the heart whilst trying to break up a fight outside his school gates and tragically died.
⋆ Dr Mark Prince then realised that he needed to use his own experiences to help young people battle against becoming involved in knife crime and other issues that young people face.
⋆ Dr Mark Prince has appeared on BBC interviews, Russell Howard’s Good News and lately the Queens Park Rangers football stadium has been named after Kiyan by the local community as Kiyan was a talented young footballer in their youth team.
⋆ Miss Cutts also arranged for Dr Prince to come and speak to year 9 and 10 students at her last school in April 2018.

House Charity: Option 2 – Shropshire and Staffordshire Blood Bikes
⋆ Shropshire and Staffordshire Blood Bikes are an urgent volunteer service providing transportation of blood products, free of charge, to all NHS hospitals across Shropshire, Staffordshire, and Cheshire.
⋆ Whether it be the early hours of the morning, or the end of the night, if a hospital urgently requires blood, blood bikers are there to help. Reducing the costs of hospitals paying taxi services up to £300 per trip to do the same job. With the help of the Nationwide Association of Blood Bikes this money can now be saved and spent on higher priority things such as medical supplies which could go on to save someone's life.
⋆ In order to achieve this goal SSCBB requires the help of support of the local community as a team we can help save the NHS thousands of pounds.
