User• The last part of the computer system is

the person who uses the computer. • Computer is made for users, a person or

user activates the computer to complete it specific task.

• There are two types of users. • (1) Programmers or Computer Experts • (2) End users or Operator

Programmers or Computer Experts

• A programmer is a computer professional (specialist) who not only uses computer but also designs software both for computer (system software) and other users (application software).

• A computer programmer is a computer expert, who creates, analyze and modify computer program.

Programmers or Computer Experts• He must have command on computer

hardware (on which program run) for better speed and hardware management, operating system (on which program run) and for using resources efficiently and also good knowledge of computer language in which program is made.

End user or Computer Operator

• End users or operators are non-computer professionals who access or use the computer, such as manager, doctors, and engineers, lawyers but do not have computer expertise.

• They use application programs made by programmers to enhance their speed and expertise in their specific field.

End user or Computer Operator

• For professional like doctors, engineers, lawyers, etc expert systems were introduced to help technically in their profession.

• For example in medical expert system if we give symptoms of a patient disease then it gives suggestions about disease and recommend some medicines for it.
