Steeped in the Family traditionFounded in 1888, Bucherer has been a family-owned business for three generations now. The house has enjoyed a rich journey and through the years has become an inherent part of the European luxury landscape. It all began towards the end of the 19th century when Carl F. Bucherer and his wife Luise opened a store dedicated to watches and jewellery in Lucerne, Switzerland, a charming city of turrets and spires, cobblestone streets and fountains tucked away on the luxuriant shores of Lake Lucerne. The family flame passed to the third generation in 1977 and the current President of the group is Jörg G. Bucherer.
