• Project is called London Lines Replacement Project (LLRP).

• Proposing to replace the London Lines from Dawn to Komoka as part of EGI's Asset Management Plan to improve the integrity of the pipeline network and to increase system flexibility.

• Majority of existing London Lines installed between 1930’s to 1950's with some sections abandoned and other sections replaced.

• Due to the nature of the scope, Ontario Energy Board (OEB) approval of the project is required prior to construction start.

• Project will include the construction of approximately 75 kilometers of 8 inch, high pressure, steel, natural gas pipeline.

• This will replace the two current pipelines known collectively as the London Lines.

• The LLRP will also include the construction of a new secondary pipeline, to connect the replaced 8-inch pipeline to the Municipality of Strathroy-Caradoc (10.5 km).

• All current services will be maintained as a result of this project. Residents and businesses in the Municipality of Strathroy-Caradoc are served off of the current London Lines.

• The proposed pipeline route is to return the pipeline along the road allowance in which is the existing pipeline(s) are located to maintain customer access to gas, and where possible, consider relocating pipeline from private easements to road allowance to provide additional access to customers

• Goal – decommission and leave in place existing London Lines and remove where Municipality requires – as outlined in existing franchise agreement.

• The current pipeline enters Middlesex Centre from Strathroy-Caradoc along the road allowance of Amiens Road between Oxbow Drive and Glendon Drive, proceeding south on Amiens to Glendon Drive.

• It proceeds east along Glendon to about halfway between Amiens and Komoka Road.

• It then goes cross country southeast, to approx. the intersection of Komoka Road and Gideon Drive.

• It then proceeds east in road allowance on Gideon to just before Carriage Road where a new Enbridge Gas station would be constructed (along Gideon).

• We are considering an alternative route to move the pipeline from going cross country between Glendon-Amiens/Komoka and Komoka/Gideon, to road allowance:

– Proceed east on Glendon to Komoka, and south on Komoka to Gideon.

• Enbridge Gas wants the Municipality’s feedback on the project. We need to know your questions, comments, and concerns – they will go into the planning process to choose the preferred route.

• As part of the planning process, Enbridge Gas has retained Stantec Consulting Ltd. (Stantec) to undertake an Environmental Study of the construction and operation for the proposed natural gas pipeline.

• The Environmental Study will fulfill the requirements of the Ontario Energy Board (OEB). We anticipate that the environmental report for the study should be completed by late summer 2020.

• Stantec is presently compiling an environmental, socio-economic, and archaeological/cultural heritage inventory of the Environmental Study area.

• Once the preferred route is chosen following Stantec’s study, we will come back to you to present the route and for further technical and permitting discussions.

London Lines ProjectWe want your feedback – we are currently in the consultation phase

• For the planning process Stantec is leading, here are some items Enbridge Gas would like to know from the Municipality:

– Any major construction planned along/near any of the proposed routes?

– Any concerns regarding road / lane closures during the project?

– Any comments about location of new pipeline in road allowance?

– Or the decommissioning of the exiting London Lines?
