    1. SAFETY

    This STB has been manufactured to satisfy the international safety standards. Pleaseread the following safety precautions carefully.

    MAINS SUPPLY: 100 - 250V AC 50/60Hz

    OVERLOADING: Do not overload wall outlet, extension cord or adapter as this mayresult in fire or electric shock.

    LIQUIDS: Keep liquids away from the STB. The apparatus shall not be exposed todripping or splashing and that no objects filled with liquids, such as vases, shall beplaced on the apparatus.

    CLEANING: Disconnect the STB from the wall outlet before cleaning .Use a light dampcloth (no solvents) to dust the STB.

    VENTILATION: The slots on top of the STB must be left uncovered to allow properairflow to the unit. Do not stand the STB on soft furnishings or carpets. Do not exposethe STB to direct sunlight or do not place it near a heater. Do not stack electronicequipments on top of the STB.

    ATTACHMENTS: Do not use any attachments that are not recommended as these maycause hazard or damage the STB.

    CONNECTION TO THE SATELLITE DISH LNB: Disconnect the STB from the mainsbefore connecting or disconnecting the cable from the satellite dish.

    FAILURE TO DO SO CAN DAMAGE THE LNB.

    CONNECTION TO THE TV: Disconnect the STB from the mains before connecting ordisconnecting the cable from the satellite dish.FAILURE TO DO SO CAN DAMAGE THE TV.

    EARTHING: The LNB cable MUST BE EARTHED to the system earth for the satellitedish.

    LOCATION: Place the STB indoor in order not to expose to lightening, rain or sunlight.

    2. Environment protection

    Attention!Your product Is marked with this symbol. It means that used electrical and electronic products shouldnot be mixed with general household waste. There is a separate collection system for theseproducts.

    POWER Button

    Switch the STB between Operation and Standby mode.

    UHF Button

    Alter the UHF setting.MUTE Button

    Enable / Disable the Audio.

    Numeric Buttons

    Select the TV or Radio services and menu options.

    0/ 0&ZOOM Button

    After other Numeric buttons, its used for 0 button. Otherways its used to enable the zoom function.

    PAUSE Button

    Pause or play video.

    PRE Button

    Select the previously viewed service.Return to the previous menu.

    INFO Button

    Display the service information box on the Screen.Display the extended event or service information inmenu.

    EPG Button

    Display EPG menu.

    MENU Button

    Display the Main Menu on the screen.Return to the previous menu.

    8. Connecting Your System

    How to connect your STB to various systemsThere are several ways of connecting the STB to your TV, VCR and/or Hi-Fi SYSTEM. Consult yourlocal supplier for assistance in setting-up your system that is best suited to your requirements.

    Connect STB to a TV setConnect your STB to a TV set with SCART, if your TV set is equipped for it. Alternatively you canuse A/V, TV out (UHF) jacks.

    Connect STB to a VCRConnect the SCART jack from the VCR to the back of your STB. Alternatively you can use A/V, TVout (UHF).

    Connect STB to a Hi-Fi SystemConnect a RCA stereo cable from the AUDIO L/R jacks, on your STB to the LINE, AUX, SPARE orEXTRA input jacks on your Hi-Fi System.

    Connect STB to a Digital Audio SystemIf you have a DAC with S/PDIF optical fiber input, you can connect the STB with it to enjoy higher

    quality sound. Connect S/PDIF optical fiber to a digital amplifier.

    Loop ThroughIf you have another analogue or digital STB and you wish to use the same LNB then you canconnect it via the loop through. Connect one end of the coaxial cable to the Loop Through on theSTB and connect the other end to the LNB IN on your second STB.

    9. GETTING STARTED

    Easy InstallPress the POWERbutton to operate thereceiver from Standby mode. If you did not

    install it before, the Easy Install Menu will bedisplayed automatically to guide you to installyour box and dish.*Notice: There are two parts, Box Setting andInstall Setting. Please follow the indication inthis menu one step by one.

    Box SettingLanguage

    Choose Menu Language. Go to next.

    Time SettingSet Current Time. Go to next.

    Parental ControlSet Password, Receiver Lock and CensorshipClassification. Go to next to enter in InstallSetting.

    Install Setting

    Choose one from the following items: Install

    your dish, Automatic install satellite andsearch channel and Manually install satelliteand search channel.

    Install your dish

    a. Install one satellite, Press REDbutton to

    edit it. In edit menu you can check signal.This function is very useful for installing

    your dish. It will automatically calculate the

    elevation and azimuth for certain satellite

    according to the local longitude and latitude

    you entered. Set the longitude and latitude

    by pressing 0~9and LEFT /RIGHTbutton,

    and you get the elevation and azimuth

    information from the menu. Then go to next.

    b. Adjust your dish depend on the intensity

    and quality. Press RED button to edit

    satellite as above, press OK button to select

    TP. Go to next.

    c. Adjust your dish depend on the SNR and

    BER. Press REDbutton to edit satellite as

    above, press OKbutton to select TP. Go to

    next.

    d. Choose one from the following items:

    Install another satellite and Complete

    installing dish and search channels. ForInstall another satellite, you need to install

    another satellite the above step by step. For

    Complete installing dish and search

    channels, you need to set the Scan Mode

    and Network, then press OKbutton to do

    scan.

    Automatic install satellite andsearch channel

    The receiver will detect your antenna andsearch available signals and download services

    for you automatically.

    Manually install satellite andsearch channelYou need to choose your interested satellitesand set right parameters for LNB Type, 22KHzTone, 12V, DiSEqC1.0 or Motorized DiSEqC1.2or USALS items, then press REDbutton to doscan to complete install. For more details,please check chapter Installation of MenuOperations.

    10. MENU OPERATIONS

    Services

    Organizing Services

    The menu displays as the following:

    - Service list, Group information

    - Operating frame with Move, Lock, Delete,

    Rename, Skip functions

    Operations:LEFT/RIGHT button:switch frame from servicelist to operating frame or verse

    RED button: enter Group menu to switch

    service group

    GREEN button: enter Options menu for 4

    shortcuts for choosing services:

    Select All:select all services under current listUnselect All:unselect all selected servicesSelect Others:select services except those

    been selectedSelect by TP:select services belonging tocertain transponder only

    TV/RADIO button:switch from TV service list

    to the Radio service list or verse

    FIND button:quickly find service by the name

    UP/ DOWN, P+/P-, OK button:browse service

    list and select some

    INFO button:check detail information of

    current service

    Move: select one or more services and press

    RIGHT button to select MOVE icon. Press

    UP/DOWN, P+/P-, 0~9button to move the

    selected service to where you want to locate,

    then all the selected services will be reordered

    and move to the new location one by one.

    Lock: select one or more services and press

    RIGHTbutton to select LOCKicon. The symbol

    LOCK will be displayed at the end of the

    service name, which means the service is

    locked and need to enter password to view.

    Remove: select one or more services and

    press RIGHTbutton to select REMOVEicon.

    The selected services will be removed from the

    database forever.

    Rename: select one or more services and

    press RIGHTbutton to select RENAMEicon.Rename menu will be displayed, you can

    enter new name through keyboard submenu.

    Skip: select one or more services and press

    RIGHTbutton to select SKIPicon. The symbol

    SKIPwill be displayed at the end of the service

    name, which means the service will be

    skipped when you browse services without any

    menu by pressing UP/DOWNbutton.

    Organizing Favourites

    Youcan organize all 8 FAV group services in thismenu.The menu displays as the following:

    - Service list, Group information

    - Operating frame with Move, Lock, Delete,

    Rename, Skip functions

    - FAV service list, FAV information

    Operations:

    LEFT/RIGHT button: switch frame between

    service list, operating frame, FAV service list

    RED button:enter Group menu to switch

    service group

    GREEN button:enter Options menu for 4

    service to where you want to locate, then all the

    selected services will be reordered and move to

    the new location in current FAV group service

    list one by one.

    MOVE TO FAV GROUP:

    select one or more services and press RIGHT

    button to select RIGHT MOVEicon. The

    selected services will be added to current FAV

    group.

    REMOVE FROM FAV GROUP:select one or more FAV services and press

    LEFT button to select LEFT MOVEicon. The

    selected services will be removed from current

    FAV group list, but still remain in database and

    belong to other FAV groups it was belonging to.

    RENAME:

    rename FAV group. Go to operating frame and

    select RENAMEicon. Rename menu will be

    displayed, you can enter new FAV name

    through keyboard submenu.

    11. INSTALLATION

    Satellite Installation

    Manual Installation

    Manual Installation menu is organized in theway for user to install & scan satellites/transponders easily. In all menus of ManualInstallation, real-time signal level and quality(BER) is displayed all the time for more friendlysetting.There are three main submenus:

    Main window

    The menu displays as the following:- Satellite list

    - Indication frame with Antenna, 12V, 22KHz,

    DiSEqC, Motor information for current

    satellite

    - A map for the location of satellite

    We supply the following functions:

    A. Scan

    1. Use OKbutton to select one or more

    satellites at one time, then press RED

    button, an Scan menu will be

    displayed for you to select Scan Mode

    (ALL, FTAL, FTA_TV, ALL_TV) and

    Network (NIT OFF, NIT ON) options by

    LEFT/RIGHTbutton.

    2. Press OKbutton to start scan.

    3. During scanning, you can use RED

    button to stop scan, useYELLOW

    button to pause scan and GREEN

    button to resume scanning.

    4. When scanning finished, a message

    box will be displayed asking you

    whether to save themodification before

    exit. PressYES button to save and NO

    button to abort.

    B. Auto DiSEqC

    This function is very useful to easy installingyour system without knowledge of what kindof signal or LNB your receiver is connectedto. Press BLUEbutton, it will automaticallydetect DiSEqC connecting and set the rightconfiguration of LNB as well. In less than 1

    minute, it will show you the connectingstatus, you just need to press OKbutton toscan the connected satellites if any.

    C. Edit

    Press GREENbutton to enter next mainpart: Edit Satellite menu.

    D. TPPressYELLOWbutton to enter next main part:Transponder menu.

    Edit Satellite

    The menu displays as the following:

    - Satellite setup menu

    - Indication picture for the connecting of

    antenna and DiSEqC switcher, Motorized

    system.

    We supply the following functions:

    1. Press REDbutton to scan certain satellite

    2. Press GREENbutton to enter keyboard

    menu to rename certain satellite

    3. Press BLUEbutton to enter Auto DiSEqC

    menu to check your dish connecting

    4. Setup satellites parameters as the

    following:

    - Satellite: Remand certain satellite by using

    GREENbutton;

    - Longitude: The angle of satellites

    longitude is can not be changed;

    - TP: Select the TP of certain satellite. Press

    OKbutton to select one from the list or

    press LEFT/RIGHTbutton to switch one by

    one

    - LNB: Select the LNB (value & type) on

    antenna. Press OKbutton to select one

    from the list or press LEFT/RIGHTbutton to

    switch one by oneNotice: When you select Uni. (9750/10600), both 9750 and 10600MHz aresupported at the same time, the 22KHzTone setting is unnecessary(disabled),because high or low band is selected by22KHz automatically

    - 22KHz: Press OKor LEFT/RIGHTto turn

    22KHz Tone switcher on or off.

    Notice: When you use a dual LNB or twoantennas connected to a 22KHz Toneswitch box, make 22KHz Tone switch on or

    off to select LNB or antenna.- 12V: Press OKor LEFT/RIGHTto turn 12V

    switcher on or off

    - DiSEqC 1.0/1.1:According to the option

    and position of DiSEqC switcher, select

    OFF(disabled), DiSEqC A to D by OKor

    LEFT/RIGHTbutton, it supports up to 16

    antennas connected to the receiver at the

    same time.

    - Motor:Press OKor LEFT/RIGHTto set

    motor on or off; pressYELLOWbutton to

    enter Motor menu

    Motor Menu:

    a) Motor Type

    Press LEFT/RIGHTbutton, you canselect DiSEqC1.2 or USALS(DiSEqC1.3), according to themotorized DiSEqC system you areusing.

    b) Satellite

    Select a satellite name that can be used

    to identify a motor position by pressingOKor LEFT/RIGHTbutton. Thelongitude of current satellite will beshown too.

    c) TP

    Press OKor LEFT/RIGHTbutton, youcan select one transponder from currenttransponder list to locate the signal.

    Transponder

    The menu displays as the following:

    - Transponder list

    - Indication frame for the information of

    current satelliteWe supply the following functions:

    A. Scan

    1. You can use UP/DOWN, P+/P-buttons to

    browse the transponder list and press OK

    button to select one or more transponders

    at one time, then press RED button. An

    Scan Option menu will be displayed for

    you to select Scan Mode (FTA, ALL,

    FTA_TV, ALL_TV) and Network (NIT OFF,

    NIT ON) options by LEFT/RIGHTbutton. Be

    noticed that if you select only one

    transponder, you are able to scan certain

    service only by putting certain VidPID,

    AudPID and PcrPID by manual.

    2. Press OKbutton to scan selected

    transponder(s).

    B. Add / Edit

    Press GREEN or YELLOW button, you canedit the parameters.

    Freq.:Use 0-9 buttons or LEFT/RIGHTbutton to enter new frequency.H/V: Use the LEFT/RIGHTbutton to selectthe polarization (H, V).H(Horizontal): 18V/19V is output throughLNB cable

    V(Vertical): 13V/14V is output through LNBcableSym.: Use 0-9 buttons or LEFT/RIGHTbutton to enter new symbol rate.FEC: Use LEFT/RIGHTbutton to select theForward Error Correction (1/2, 2/3, 3/4, 5/6or 7/8) if you are sure about the value,otherwise please select AUTO, software willautomatically detect it for you.

    C. Delete

    Select one or more transponders you dont

    need any more by pressing OKbutton.Then press BLUEbutton to delete them. Benoticed that all services belonging to thedeleted transponder will be deleted too.

    D. Services

    Press INFObutton, you can check services(TV and Radio) belonging to currenttransponder if any.

    Configuration

    In this menu, you can press LEFT/RIGHTkeyto select the Regions and set the AntennaPower on or off.

    LAN Setting

    Select LAN Setting under the Main Menu, thenpress OK button to confirm.

    In this menu, you can set Parameters (IPAddress, Subnet Mask and Network Gate) ofthe network.

    If you select the DHCP Enable, means thereceiver can get the parameters automatically.

    If you unselect the DHCP Enable, than you canset the parameters manually .

    CA Settings (OPTIONAL)

    Receiver has build in smart card module withCONAX system. By using cards in this systemprovided by operators, it is possible to watchmany scrambled channels coded in this system.This menu shows detailed information aboutcard inserted into card reader module. It allowsto check all available information about cardinserted according to help messages visible onthe bottom of the screen.

    NOTE:All information showed in this menu andsubmenu are coming from inserted card. Incase if anything is wrong, it could be cardproblem. After inserting the card correctly at anytime, a message-box will show on the screenwith message about detecting the card, in CardInfo menu all available information will bedisplayed.

    12. Preference

    The Preference menu supports the receiverinternal settings according to the connection ofthe receiver and external units. This menuincludes Language, Parental Control, TimeSetting, A/V Control, UHF Setting andMiscellaneous Settings.

    Language

    There are different kinds of languages, formenu, for audio, for EPG, for Teletext orSubtitle. You can use UP/DOWNbutton toselect one of them and then press OK button toenter submenu. Use LEFT/RIGHTbutton toswitch language one by one or press OK button

    to select one from the language list.The details are as the following:

    Details are as the following:

    Set Automatic Update option to ON meanssystem time is based on TDT (Time and DataTable) from the stream of the current service,

    and runs with system clock. Set AutomaticUpdate option to OFF means system time isset by manual and runs with system clock.

    Automatic Update

    Only when you set Automatic Update option toOFF, Current Date &Time is active for you toenter local date & time by LEFT/RIGHTor 0~9buttons.

    Current Date &Time

    GMT is referred to the standard time ofGreenwich. Please set the Offset according to

    your countrys time zone. The step is half anhour.

    GMT Offset

    Set Daylight Time option to ON means thesummer time is on thus local time is one hourlate than normal.

    Daylight Time

    If you set Wake Up option to Enable, youactivate a wakeup timer. The service list will bedisplayed for you to set first view service using

    UP/DOWNbutton.

    Wake Up

    Only if you set Wake Up option to Enable,Wake Up Time is active for you to set wakeuptime using UP/DOWNbutton.

    Wake Up Time

    If you set Sleep option to Enable, youactivate a sleeping timer.

    Set the video output mode for the TV SCART(RGB, CVBS and YUV (special cable requiredfor connecting YUV signal to TV set )).

    You can check information about your receiveror upgrade the firmware or data of the receiver

    through this menu.

    System InformationWe provide you production information aboutthe receiver, such as Model ID, SoftwareVersion, Hardware Version, Loader Version,Latest Update and Manufacture informationas well.

    Upgrade RS232We provide you two solutions to upgrade thereceiver via RS232 port.

    A. Upgrade through this menu.1. Connect your receiver (as slaver) to PC

    or another receiver (as master) via cross RS232cable. (The PC should have installedUpgrade.exe together with current software ordata file (*.dld).) Turn on the master.

    16. Trouble Shooting

    If you suspect there is a fault with your receiver, please check the following trouble shooting guide
