Based on its state of aggregation, biomass can be: liquid, gaseous and solid. As a source of energy, biomass can be used directly or it can be transformed into another energy product such as biofuel.

Pellet fuel is the newest way to use the energy from biomass. Pel-lets basically represent wood industry waste which is processed under high pressure. A kilogram of pellets releases approximately 5 kWh of heat energy. The amount of energy we get by burning 2 kg of pellets is equivalent to that of 1 l of fuel oil. In addition to energy savings, pellets are also an ecologically acceptable raw material. By burning pellets, 1 % ash is created and the same amount of CO2 that was used by the tree during its biological cycle. This is why pellets are considered to be carbon-neutral.

The greenhouse effect and global warming could cause fatal consequences for all life on Earth. The climate changes would causechanges infloraand fauna,and thus,disturbances in thefood chains. Glacier melting would lead to the rising of the glob-alsealevelandthefloodingofareaspopulatedbyapproximatelyone-third of the world population. The increased concentration of carbon dioxide in the atmosphere is considered to be the primary cause for global warming, no less than 50 to 55%. The main cause for increased concentration of this gas in the air is the usage of fossil fuels (coal, oil and gas) and deforestation.

Because of the above-mentioned, it is necessary to replace fossil fuels with low-carbon emission fuels. Biomass is a renewable en-ergy source recognized as an alternative to fossil fuels. Biomass consists of plant waste and other materials created in a biological manner. The advantages of using biomass, in addition to being renewableandsustainable, are reflected in theabsenceof toxicsubstances and low-carbon emission. In fact, the carbon emission

There is a display on the heating body through which desired parameters can be entered and the whole operation process monitored. The heating body operation programming is done on a weekly basis (time of ignition, extinguishing, room temper-ature). Another advantage is the possibility to install a control module through a mobile phone application which enables you to control the heating system even when you are not at home.
