FACTS & HIGHLIGHTS OF 2015

The ESADE MBA is one of the most diverse environments you could hope to experience, with 152 students from 38 countries around the globe and 29% female students.

It stands to reason that this diversity gives the vast majority of our students a taste for all things international, with 78% of graduates leaving Spain to work in top global companies the world over.An MBA offers the opportunity to grow in any given field, or simply take the leap and go in a new direction. Some students may join us with a seemingly clear vision of their future career plans, but as a result of the sheer breadth of our programme, they ultimately change route over the course of the MBA. In fact, 96% changed either region, industry or function and 83% had secured a top position within 3 months of graduation, proving that our MBA is a door opener in no uncertain terms.

ESADE Careers has a key role to play in ensuring that the right career orientation is provided to students and that each individual student’s job search process is as successful as possible. In the 2015-2016 academic year alone, an incredible 1,170 advisory interviews were held, making sure every student is on track to find their perfect job after graduation.

RECRUITMENT FAIRSHeld in October and February.

With almost 30 recruiters in one space, the MBA Recruitment Fairs typically take place in October and February for our first year MBA students who will be requiring summer internships, and second year MBA students who will be entering full time.

CAREER WORKSHOPS AND TRAININGSThroughout the year.

Participate in one of the numerous interactive workshops and discover what career opportunities are available to you. Brush up on your interview skills or crack cases and attend sector/ industry-specific workshops to put your best foot forward after graduation.

CAREER PATH TRAINING SESSIONSThroughout the year.

These sessions will help you acquire and develop all the necessary skills to be successful in recruitment in different sectors. During the day, students have the opportunity to join a series of workshops which focus on developing the main competencies valued by recruiters.

COMPANY PRESENTATIONSThroughout the year.

An alternative way for students to learn about career opportunities by attending an event for a targeted group of students. Presentations are sometimes combined with a networking event or cocktail afterwards. Last year we organised 68 company presentations on campus.

CASE COMPETITIONSThroughout the year.

Case competitions are an excellent opportunity to face real-life challenges and try to solve the problems real companies face by employing your newly learned skills. Last year, MBA students participated in more than 20 case competitions organised at ESADE, at other business schools and at prestigious companies. These case competitions are also a gateway to securing an internship or a full-time job.

ON-CAMPUS INTERVIEWS Throughout the year.

Most companies carry out at least part of the recruiting process on-campus. We provide all the tools and assistance so that companies and students can fully concentrate on the interview process either in person, online or via conference call.

STUDENT CLUB EVENTSThroughout the year.

Business clubs are managed by the MBA Student Association, (MBASA) and are responsible for creating learning and networking opportunities for members. Club events provide a good platform for companies who wish to recruit or gain on-campus exposure. Each club has one Associate Director from ESADE Careers assigned to work closely with them.

SUMMER INTERNSHIP REPORTInternships are the perfect option for students looking to change career path or gain knowledge in a new area. In fact, 88% of Class of 2015 students undertook an internship. The ESADE MBA offers all the tools to ensure our graduates have in-depth knowledge of all areas of business, making them more adaptable and capable of adding value across all sectors. Students who pursue the 15 or 18-month MBA programme have access to internships around the world, in a wide variety of industries, to put all their knowledge into practice and gain experience in the field.

I was fortunate enough to secure two internships during my MBA: 1. I was an MBA Summer Associate at British Telecom. BT came to campus for a corporate presentation and posted the opening on the ESADE Career Portal. During this process, I reached out to ESADE alumni who were working at BT and attended mock interviews with ESADE Careers to ensure that I understood the role and that I was well prepared for the interviews.2. During the MBA, I took an elective – the Action Learning Consulting Programme – in which we provided consulting services to local companies. After completing my 15-month MBA, I was offered an internship at the company I had worked with during the ALCP. Both these opportunities contributed towards my full time placement.”
