All these aspects were replicatedat a much higher scale andmagnitude during the Com monWealth Games In 2010 providingspurt to sport on the whole in thecountry .

This is also happening partlybecause India is seen as a majorem erging sport destinationhavin g untapped potential both interms of player talents and a hugemarket.

Then there are successful playerslike Sachin Tendulkar, AbhinavBindra , RVS Rathore SushilKumar , Viswanath,an Anand ,Mary Kom and many others whohave raised the profile 01 sportspeople in India and have attractedyouth to take up their respectivegames as a lull time passion.

Most 01 the SAlprogrammes also havescholarships and studentsupports and students can alsolook lor linancial assistance.
