Health and Safety

• All development must be checked to asset risks that could harm workers.

• This checks that all Health and Safety laws are in mind.

Example:• Health and Safety could be used on set for

equipment and all crew members.e.g. Wires, Lighting, and Set.

Equal opportunities

• Legislates prejudice based actions in the work place.

E.g. age, religion, race, disability, and gender.

Example:

• Racial discrimination who are locked in a prayer room.

Employment Equality(age) Regulations

• Prohibits employers unreasonable discrimination against employers on the grounds of age.

Example:

• Retirement age: 65 years old

• Part time work: 13 years old

• 16-17 year olds get £3.72 an hour

Employers Liability

• Compulsory insurance that protects employers in case of employee injury, illness or death; caused by work place conditions.

Example:• In the work place and you have certain

conditions, the employee has to be insured to provide compensation of illness, injury, or death.

• All rights allow fair work contracts and conditions.

Example:

• Wage, holiday leave, illness, compensation, dismissal.

Trade Union

• An organised association of workers in a trade, group of trades or profession , formed to protect and further their rights and interests.

• Example:• Action on tube workers. Tube workers

don’t feel that they are getting paid enough so they went on strike.
