TITLE: Estimator-Drafter Location: Langley, BC Apex Aluminum Extrusions Ltd. is a state-of-the-art aluminum extrusion factory located in Langley,
British Columbia. Production of aluminum profiles began in early 2011, making Apex the most recent
addition to the aluminum extrusion market.
Although we are a new company, we have drawn on many resources and the extensive experience of

Position:
Provide quoting and drafting support for the extrusion, die correction, and sales departments of APEX
Extrusions.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Safety and safe work practices and procedures, and keeping a clean work environment at all
times.
Determine area, perimeter, and other profile parameters
Determine a fit for APEX capabilities.
Estimate productivity and costs to produce profile, as well as tooling costs.
Draw and maintain APEX profile drawings, including revision history on the print and EPICS
system.
Work with Die Correction Team Leader to order dies and tools for new profiles and replacement
dies for worn or broken dies.
Ensure first article compliance on all new profiles, or revised shapes.
Maintain documentation on repairs of all dies and tools through the use of digital cameras,
scanned document, word documents and Epics.
Maintain EPICS Die and Copy Data base.

Job purpose: Inspect all Arcteryx products to ensure quality standards are met
Key responsibilities and accountabilities: (Including but not limited to)
Properly review Arcteryx product specifications - samples, testing methods and Arcteryx Quality
control manual before inspection
Perform In-line inspection, pre-final audits and final inspection in finishing department; inspect
goods and raw materials for workmanship and defects according to Arcteryx standards and set
time & goal to complete checking day to day production targets
Record inspections results in the proper quality control log
Notify appropriate supervisor or coordinator if/when any discrepancies are found between
approved sample and production results
Monitor the quality of the product various stages of production and conduct follow-ups when
required.
Work with co-workers and supervisors to improve the quality standard of all Arcteryx products.
Assist in training new employees on company quality standards policies and how to use quality
tools
Participate and actively involved in projects and other tasks as assigned, including but not
limited to 5S, and other housekeeping
Additional experience, education and/or skills:
Required
Colour acuity;
Strong attention to detail;
Ability to multi-task and work independently;

2-3 year experience in a quality environment;
Previous background working with AQL standard;
