The general contractor is the person or entity who hires all of the subcontractors and suppliers for a project. It is an individual, partnership, corporation, or other business entity that is capable of performing construction work as a contractor with overall responsibility for the satisfactory completion of a project using its own forces to perform or supervise part of the work.

Responsibilities of a General ContractorsHas a main responsibility for the construction, improvement, or renovation project under contract, and is the party signing the prime construction contract for the project.

Lutopan Toledo City, Cebu - Brighton Machinery Corporation(BMC) the exclusive distributor of Hitachi Construction Machinery in the Philippines, together with Hitachi Construction Machinery Asia and Pacific Pte. Ltd.(HMAP) marked a milestone in the Philippine mining industry last February 10, 2015 with the turnover of the First HITACHI EXCAVATOR EX2600-6 in the Philippines.

On December 4, Monark Equipment and Caterpillar Team led by Mr. Eric Visaya, V.P. for Mining and Service turned over to Galeo Equipment & Mining Co. the first and largest Caterpillar Hydraulic Excavator, Cat 6030, in the country. This will be used by Galeo in its Mining operations at Carmen Copper Mine site.

These are the first of two (2) Cat 6030 units ordered by Galeo which was assembled by Monark’s Mining BU Service Team led by Mr. Erwin Marquez, Mining BU Service Operations Manager, with the full and able support by Bucyrus technical personnel.
