That means the centre can now test pretty much all classes of vehicles including motorbikes, cars, minibuses and commercial vehicles up to 3.5 tonnes. The discount to LBC staff (on production of suitable ID) means a £10 saving on the car test, making it just £44.80, and a motorbike test is only £25 rather than the standard £29. Expert staff at the station carry out the tests but do not sell repairs, so they have no reason to recommend any work that isn’t necessary. So having your bike, car or van tested at one of the best testing stations in the county couldn’t make better sense! They would love to see you. The station is open from 7am- 8pm Mondays and Tuesdays and 7am - 7pm Wednesday – Friday, offering employees an excellent service at convenient times. Govia Thameslink Railway Ltd offer employees a discount on rail season tickets for the Thameslink route for employees commuting to work in Luton stations. All journeys are to Luton, and prices for Leagrave and Luton Airport Parkway are available from the LBC ER Admin Team. The Council offers employees interest free loans to purchase these tickets, repaid by monthly salary deductions. If you would like to apply for a discounted rail ticket, or would like a loan for a ticket, please fill in the necessary application form available to download from the intranet. Type ‘season tickets’ into the search engine. The season ticket obtained doubles as a Network Card entitling the holder and up to three accompanying adults to a one-third discount off other off-peak fares (after 9.30 Mon-Fri, anytime at weekends) and a 60% discount for children, in the entire south east region.
