We were also able to visit the prospering cassava project for poor families FMO has helped to sponsor, and offer some support to the local Brothers of St. Therese for the care of poor children seeking an educaon (above). GUANAJA: Feb 14 - 24, 2014: Together with a team of six lay Missioners of Christ, Fr. Herald travelled to the island of Guanaja off the north coast of Honduras, to conduct a joint mis- sion in the three small Catholic communies located there: Cayo Bonacca, Pelícano and Savannah Bight. On both weekends Mass was celebrated in each community, and in between we spent two days in each locaon offering programs for children, youth and adults. Acv- ies included talks, dramas, Eucharisc Adoraon, confession and home visits (below). HOLY WEEK and JESÚS en la PLAYA, HONDURAS, Apr 13 - 20, 2014: Because of the overwhelming posive response to our efforts last year, FMO and Missioners of Christ decided to repeat and expand the Holy Week evangelizaon event, Jesús en la Playa.Our enre team parcipated in the city-wide Palm Sunday procession and Mass, at which we were also commissioned by Bishop Michael Le- nihan. One conngent remained en La Ceiba, reinforced by generous parcipaon from diocesan Radio San Isidro, local parishes and the Catholic University. Fr. Herald accompanied a conngent to the new site of Ula, and Fr. Gregorio, CFR, and a small group returned to Guanaja. Our purpose was to engage and remind the many tourists who flock to the coast of the deeper meaning of Holy Week, the love of God revealed in death and resurrecon of Jesus, and to invite them to join in the Churchs celebraon of the events that brought about our new life in Christ. Once again we were overwhelmed by the response (below).

HIGH SCHOOL and COLLEGE RETREATS, PASTORAL ASSISTANCE in LA CEIBA: In addition to special missions and events, Fr. Herald together with Missioners of Christ have been able to conduct a number of retreats for local Catholic high school students, as well as for students and professors at the La Ceiba campus of the Catholic University of Honduras. Fr. Herald also assists regularly with pastoral ministry by celebrating Mass at local parishes and convents of religious sisters, hearing confessions and anointing the sick.
