The heart generates the bodys largest biomagnetic field, which can be measured in the space around the body using the SQUID.

Since cellular regulations can be influenced by pulsing electromagnetic fields, the harmonics produced by the heart are probably involved in the effects of various complementary therapies.

36Using functional MRI, Cho and colleagues discovered that stimulation of vision related points on the lateral aspect of the right foot activated neurons in the visual cortex. These cortical areas correspond to areas that are activated during vision. This was an important confirmation that acupuncture meridians interact with neurons in the brain. More recent work using ultrasound stimulation of the acupuncture points on the feet has shown that the activation of brain sites is far too rapid to be explained by nerve conduction. Some other mechanism, faster than nerve conduction, is conveying the stimulus from the feet to the brain. See the presentation by Jones at this conference.
