Outage Event ManagementeMeter application help you and your customers quickly identify and recover from distribution issues while lowering costs.

eMeter Outage Event Management will reduce your unnecessary truck rolls,

quickly and accurately resolve service incidents, and identify distribution issues

before they impact service. Outage Event Management lowers your operation

costs and provides your customers with more responsive, undisturbed service.

With eMeter Outage Event Management you can:

Create a fast, accurate map of outages. From the volumes of data

retrieved by the AMI, EnergyIP applies self-defined filters to deliver only

relevant, summarized information to the OMS, so you have an clear view

of the problem. This means your people can make better diagnoses faster,

even if multiple AMI systems are involved.

Filter massive amounts of storm data. Storm Mode filters outage events,

taking only those events from crucial, self-set “Bellwether points” and delivering

then to your OMS to prevent them from being overwhelmed during a storm.

Receive real time status notifications. Once power is restored, a notice

is sent to the WMS and to the OMS via the AMI. Because eMeter MDM

supports multiple AMI systems, your OMS always has the most accurate

outage restoration picture. Your OMS and WMS can instantly tell you when

and where power is on and where you still need to send crews across all

your AMI systems.

Filter events that result from normal service. Outage Event Management

eliminates spurious events due to normal, planned fieldwork by filtering events

originating from Service Delivery Points that have open field orders as tracked

by the Service Request records. The filter also checks your calendar to make sure

that the event was during non-holiday business hours and within the planned start

and end times listed by your Work Management System.

Filter events created by short outages or transient faults. The Outage

Management System also suppresses any outage events when a restoration

event is received within the configurable delay period. Events are logged by

the core event subsystem, but the filter eliminates these superfluous event

reports to the utility’s OMS.
