Our experienced and professional staff will assist you with implementing best practice prevention, preparedness, protection, mitigation, and response strategies, as well as help you navigate complex disaster recovery processes to help you apply for federal resources. Initial Considerations for Emergency Managers Hagerty has worked with clients to develop, update, and test plans, policies and procedures in each phase of Emergency Management: ü Establish a baseline Threat and Hazard Identification Risk Assessment (THIRA) to help you identify vulnerable areas in your jurisdiction and then plan for them. ü Develop an Emergency Operations Plan (EOP) that details how your agency will operate on a normal basis as well as during an event. ü Map out realistic plans for different scenarios (ex: EOP, mass care, active threat, business continuity, recovery, cyber security) based on the unique specifications of your agency, jurisdictional capacity, and geographic location. ü Collaborate with other departments and local elected officials to gain feedback on plans and to develop buy in from those entities. Brainstorm opportunities to sign Mutual Aid Agreements (MAA) and Memoranda of Understanding (MOU). ü Craft an exercise plan that identifies areas in your agency and various plans that need to be practiced.
