A joint meeting between the Radiology Section of the Royal Society of Medicine and the British Institute of Radiology.
Interventional radiology has become a vital part of the emergency care pathway of all modern hospitals, putting radiology at the forefront of many emergency services.
The objectives of the day are: • To learn about the importance of diagnostic imaging in the assessment of
patients who require urgent radiological interventions. • To understand the place of interventional techniques in the multidisciplinary
team in managing these high risk patients and the currently available technologies and techniques used to treat these patients.
