People’s Choice Program

� Residents have choice to treat or not to treat their parkway ash tree(s) at their own expense

� Residents should select vendors based on the following criteria:� Required by law to be insured and possess a Pesticide License

� Suggested to employ Certified Arborists and be in business at least 5 years

� Forestry Unit will work closely with program participants

Viability� Treatment may not be recommended if:� Tree has more than 50% canopy loss

� 2 or more signs/symptoms of EAB are present

� Tree is deemed hazardous

� Non-EAB related issues

� Poor structure

� Storm damage

� This is a subjective decision so opinions may vary!
