    Outcomes Course Objectives and Outcomes: This course

    provides the theoretical foundations necessary forunderstanding e-Commerce, how it is beingconducted and managed, and what the major

    opportunities, limitations, issues and risks are interms of assessing opportunities in the marketplaceand managing everyday transactions. At the end ofthe course, the students will be able understandwhat is e-commerce, what are the essential

    Classroom Behavior: I expect you to

    conduct yourself with professional courtesy

    in the classroom. In other words, you shouldbe in your seat and ready to start when class

    begins. In the rare, unavoidable situations

    when you must leave class early, let me

    know before class begins. If you must be

    excused for a few moments during class,

    please do so with as little disruption to the

    class as possible.

    Classroom Behavior: You should not

    talk to other students during lectures

    unless directed to do so by theInstructor. You should not talk on a cell

    phone at any time during class or

    exams. Cell phones should be turned offunless you notify the instructor that you

    have a special need for a cell phone.

    Surprise Test: Once a chapter is

    completed, students are required to be

    prepared to face Class test/ Quiz/Surprise test. There will be NO make up

    for anyClass test/ Quiz/ Surprise test.

    Academic Honesty: Any academicmisconduct will be dealt according to the

    provisions of the students code of

    conduct.

    Course Policies

    Class Makeup: In case of unavoidable

    circumstances should a course meeting,

    lecture or exam, needs to be cancelled;

    students will be offered a make up. Allmakeup classes will be held as per the

    rescheduling suggested by the course

    teacher. Consultation Hour: Students are most

    welcome to make appointment at the time

    convenient to both the teacher & students.

    Teams: Teams (three students) should be formed

    by the second week of class. Formation of teams

    will be left to your discretion, but I encourage you

    to include some variety in terms of gender,ethnicity, experience, etc. Teams are required to

    formally meet with the instructor during the fourth

    and seventh week of the course to address the

    final models progress and/or any issues (please

    note the instructor is willing to meet earlier should

    teams have any questions).

    Teams: The class presentation should be nomore than 20 minutes (teams will be allocated a5 minute setup time) and presented in a

    professional manner using PowerPoint or ZohoShow. At this stage of your educational career,the instructor expects a polished presentationand will grade accordingly. At a minimum, the

    presentation should include a demonstration ofthe model and dialog regarding the businesscase, assumptions and modeling techniquesemployed. Remember, teams are competingagainst one another and the competition can besteep.
